Just saw Apes. Very good, fell just short of great. Koba was a fantastic villain. What kept it from truly soaring were some of the human characters/relationships...I just didn't care. A-
The Purge: Anarchy was amazing compared to the first one. It's really rare that a horror sequel outdoes its predecessor in pretty much everything. Better characters and the whole Purge concept is actually the focus of the movie rather than than home invasion **** the first one did.
I knew that the Purge would be so much better with a larger budget/more exposure.
I could see this being a yearly release that just snowballs bigger every time.
