VMA's are meant to be about popularity, not quality. Roar was a huge video and therefore deserved a nom. As for you fools ranting about how it's not quality, well look better cause last time I checked bootyshaking on a beach or whatever Problem is are not exactly the mona lisa's of videos.
For me, even Unsuccessfully deserved some noms
why a lack-of-impact song like Pretty Hurts got some noms while Roar got 0 if y'all it'a all about the impact
VMA is such a tragedy
Um what? Pretty Hurts got nominated because it's a GREAT video and in all professional categories. A 'hit' has nothing to do with it.
That's cause Gaga would be talking about some video that no one cares for, not a video that has more views than any recent female video that's not WB. Come on
Queen better shade those losers at MTV, Roar is easily the most influential video of the year
Is not the best video... If we are going to talk about the best video. G.U.Y. Will be... That video was just well directed and edited. It's really sad it wasn't nominated. But again it's a voting thing and is not like MTV knows about good stuff
Why would she tweet Grammy shade? How is this situation at all comparable to her Grammy situation?

I mean ...painting an elephants nails pink? That alone makes it one of the worst videos in the past year.
Yeah, damn those people for having fun. I don't understand how overcoming your problems and becoming Queen of the Jungle rather than faltering and being killed is empowering either.
Lol, they're jumping from favourites to gaining ratings on and on, so familiar
Although I appreciate some nominees (and I definitely can't say I'm heartbroken about "Roar" absence...)
