There are many Britney haters on this site who will blindly vote for Eminem.

The reason people drag her, and come in threads to take shots at her, is purely because of her stans. Purely. And let's be honest, you're talking about the BeyHive. The Hive knows Bey will go down as an actual legend (not about to argue with you about this hehe so save it), while Britney will not. Like I said, they drag her because of her stans (who sometimes come off a bit delusional) and not because they see her as competition.
And yes, Britney is a nobody in current music but that's a discussion for another thread.
|
"Doesn't care" yet you along with other Navy and Hive members rushed in here. I'm a Britney stan and couldn't even beat members of other stanbases in here
The rest I won't comment on because it's off-topic, but I'd love to drag you in another thread. Feel free to start one and stop hiding behind a male artist and we can go from there.

It happens anytime there's a versus thread. If it's two females, people generally vote for their favorite/against the one they don't like and that usually does favor pop artists. If there's a female vs. neutral party thread (that would be a male, older legend, etc. which ATRL never feels threatened about and pays less attention to), the stans of opposing fan bases rush in to vote against the female. It happens with Mariah, Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney, Madonna, Katy, Gaga, etc. It's like an unwritten rule of ATRL.

This isn't about who's the more musically inclined, down-to-earth, or artistic, this is about who is going to be remembered as a Legend, not just in pop music, but in all of pop culture. Britney has left such a monumental mark upon this generation it should really be called Generation Spears. She not only revived pop music, but she revolutionized it into an entire, huge spectacle of song, dance, sexuality, fun, and mainstream culture.
The starpower of Ms. Spears is formidable, even while she is in this significant career slump.
When people look back on this decade 30, 40, 50 years from now, I am sure they will say "God, Britney really just started all of this, didn't she? She really was the definition of pop music in that whole decade."
Eminem has definitely declined in quality, and his has been a pretty steady downfall, while Britney has had ups and downs, but has proven that she has the capability to top herself. I would say that the only album of Eminem's that has improved upon its predecessor is MMLP2, which is truly a masterpiece worthy of being the sequel to one of the greatest albums of all time.
Even so, Britney may never sell albums the way she once did ever again, but she will definitely always be the talk of the world, from up-and-coming stars to talk shows to school kids to record label execs. Not even going to mention Britney's stanbase, which is without a doubt the strongest and largest, if perhaps not the most potent and aggressive, base of really anyone else today.
She has touched many lives. She has slayed many more. She is the Legendary Ms. Britney Spears, and I will forever respect her impact.

he did have promo but it was very concentrated into one week and was mainly on (relatively) small platforms (exception being SNL). nothing compared to katy, gaga, etc. britney didnt perform but she had that MTV documentary special and several interviews. so yes, em still had more promo but i think the numbers more than make up the difference and i think we can agree that em wouldve sold more even if the promo had been exactly equal.

Because... nobody does care Never did I say it wasn't a massive feat. I was mainly talking about ATRL, but now that I think about it, nobody else cares either. Not the GP, not the media... nobody. If I'm incorrect, please give me example's of who like, actually cares.

Omg. The only one to bring good points in 12 pages was Eternium. I cant believe most of the army denied Eminem's career . Just read something on Wikipedia, at least. The tour receipts also when he doesnt tour like the other artists since 2005 . Eminem is a bigger legend fullstop. After this thread I hope some commenters stop using the word stan.

If you don't know what I mean:
Legend
a famous or important person who is known for doing something extremely well
Although I guess Britney was extremely well at being popular. But Eminem was too, and he also is known for his rapping and is a bigger figure in rap than Britney is to pop.
Britney is a bigger icon though.

From the first two pages with more than a handful of these names being in every single Britney thread and always voting against Britney even when the receipts are in front of their faces. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but when their opinions are the same thing over and over again despite being proven wrong in multiple threads you can't expect people to have respect for the things they want to post, even if they're trying their best to be serious this time. Just look at the way the Eminem stans are responding to Britney as opposed to the Rihanna/Beyonce/Christina stans. There's never been a stanwar between our two bases and we wouldn't have even had an argument if other stanbases hadn't come in here and tried to provoke a fight.
Also, apparently D.M.F. already posted

it was an E documentary that aired a month after her album release so i think it's obvious that that was intended to promote vegas. And she did some radio interviews with a few hundred listeners talking about vegas and work bitch, but yeah it was useless and as good as having no promo. Eminem his beats ads alone>>
But anyway I am was just correcting the person that I quoted who said that Eminem doesn't get promo slots and that Britney does more promo.
