I wouldn't suggest just listening to a greatest hits; she has some seriously cohesive albums that intentionally set a certain tone and really help you feel the music. Listening to a Janet album is like a full experience.
If you're going to listen to a GH though, it may as well be Numbers Ones, especially if you want some more pop songs thrown in the mix. DOD is basically all 80s RnB, and some of the songs on Best Of are edited poorly.
