Evidence? I said it was the prettiest she had looked in awhile because Tara wasn't involved, still think it's not a great video. Stop trying to put words into my mouth. I rated the video a 6 out of 10 once it was out and I was in a generous mood that day.
she played the game to get famous and to prove herself and now I think she feels like she's entitled to do whatever she wants to with the platform she has
I agree with this! Gaga definitely changed (and not for the better) after The Fame Monster. None of her songs have been quite as catchy or inspiring as when she debuted. Also her style just went beyond over the top and I think for a lot of people stopped being as relatable.
I don't think it is an insult or shade...some people prefer the old Gaga hype machine versus this new one which borders on being pretentious. Just because SHE views the material she has released recently as art doesn't mean we have to do the same.
Maybe she should seek out Akon, Red One, and Space Cowboy for old times sake.
She doesn't know how to match her vision with what is popular. She should either stick to her own vision or stoop it down to bridge it to what is popular, because what is in between makes little sense.
Have you ever thought that it's not about being popular to her? She's still selling out her shows and doing things how SHE wants to do them. If you don't like the music/videos now, then that's fine. The G.U.Y. video was amazing, the public just didn't like the song apparently.
