That's because MTV designs the noms based on who they want to win...So let's say Miley gets nommed for VOTY so she might win, but she doesn't get nommed in Beat Female Vid because they want another artist to have a shot at winning. They're not that dumb to not realize that if a video is nommed for VOTY it would logically be nommed in smaller categories that it falls under. They just do it strategically to make the artists they like happy.
Every bit of Bey's noms are deserved. In fact, she should've had more. I hope she sweeps. And I don't care what anyone says, Gaga should've been nominated, but eh. Ya can't win em' all. Queen will be back in 2015.
Lol if they picked nominations PURELY ON QUALITY then some obscure ass videos would be picked and Gaga would still be snubbed. It's not MTVs fault that Gaga has become a joke lately. She did it to herself.
Wrecking Ball definitely deserves the VOTY. Few have come close to how much impact that video had on popular culture. Literally the only thing people were talking about in regards to the pop music industry was that video for months and months after the release. You can say its ****** or overrated but you CANNOT deny the impact it has had without sounding delusional.
