I agree, Ichi, I've come to accept that we aren't getting music for a little while longer. I've started stanning for some new artists, though, to keep me preoccupied. This year I started stanning for Kelly Clarkson, Paramore, Lorde, Amy Winehouse, and some of Sia's stuff. I'm also going to get into Idina Menzel and O.A.R. when I get back from vacation. I only know like, two songs by O.A.R. but one of my best friends has a cousin in the band and they always go to their concerts and I like the two songs I've heard from them, so I'm going to check them out.
I'm positive we're getting the album this year (January at the latest with a single this year), it's just I'm not expecting to hear anything until around September-November.
And when we do hear something, it'll likely come from Adele herself and not a place like the World Music Awards twitter account.
I agree, Mike. I'm expecting new music by the end of the year, although I'm not going to go as far as to expect an album; I'll leave it at a lead single so that I'm not disappointed when she does release. I just wish there was more activity on her part. We never see her, we never hear from her, she's practically gone into hiding to live a normal life while trying to record the biggest follow-up album of the century in secret. I don't know how on earth she's been as successful as she is in doing this.... It sucks for her fans, but as long as it's worth the wait and she promotes it, I will be happy.

BTW, I know I just mentioned them a little while ago, but y'all should get into O.A.R. Their new single "Peace" is really good and their new album is great. As I stated before, one of my best friends' cousins is the band's drummer, so I have connections to them (although I never went to their concert because I just started getting into them now), and they are absolutely great. They're known for their song "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)", which was a pretty big hit. Here's their new single, "Peace":

Right. She may try and do the same thing she did with "Skyfall" and announce it like, four days before she releases it. I don't think she'd debut her lead single at an awards show, so we probably won't get anything at the VMAs unless she goes and chooses there to reveal some information about the album, which we all know won't be happening. There is that award thing for Adele and Coldplay coming up (I don't know when, though) that Paul Moss talked about where he said something big was happening at it. Maybe she'll reveal something there.

Yeah, my friends went and saw Phillip Phillips and O.A.R. last month before I was into them! I'm kind of jealous now! I don't understand why Phillip Phillips is opening for them, but regardless, they would have been great to see live!

It would be her first public outing like this since the Oscars. She showed up to that charity event in NYC last year and collected her MBE, but I'm talking about on this kind of level.

Right. This is the first televised or streamed thing since the Oscars, and it's pretty obvious that this is something worthy of her being there. She has to understand that if she's there, though, that is one thing that she will be getting interviewed for and she can't avoid being asked about the album, so... I suggest she start working so that it's finished and there won't be questions she needs to avoid at the event.

She would get dragged by the media if she didn't show up and everyone else did.
I know she doesn't want to be overexposed but she has an album coming out soon and I don't think it would "hurt her" to at least show up and thank everyone for their support.
