Ehh not really, whiteness is a social construct and as soon as people know he's Palestinian he'd stopped being considered white. I look white yet a lot of people don't consider me white because I have Latin roots. Whiteness is what white people decide it is. In Latin America itself though, whiteness has a different meaning (anyone with pale skin basically), and it can be different in the US too (how that Juan Pablo guy from The Bachelorette is treated....sure, he has an accent, a Spanish name and is from Venezuela...but he's blonde, blue-eyed, etc). It's a complex thing.
