I do really like the album, but whoever mastered the vocals really ****ed up. The production could be clearer too. It just makes the album feel like it's in ****** quality... even though we know it isn't because it's an official stream.
Oh well, like I said I do really actually like the album!
It's a very solid and consistent album! The Feeling is the only dud on here. However, nothing really hit me hard sans Let Me Down Gently and Uptight Downtown, which we've had for a while. I loved the ending of Silent Partner too.
I'm going to listen a couple more times before I can make a proper judgment, but from the first listen it's a good album.
The Feeling is a good track for me, I'm sure the messiness of the vocals and the production are made on purpose, it sounds like an 80s track!
The whole album has got this 80s vibe that's really adorable, like I mean it does not sound simply like an 80s inspired record, it sounds like a proper 80s record!
An excellent, very consistent album.I love how it is perfect for the summer. As others have said, the Feeling is definitely the weakest track. Silent Partner is good but feels kinda out of place, it's like something from the debut.
In a perfect world Sexotheque would be number 1 for the entire summer. "All that moneymoneymoney I bet" is so incredibly addictive. I hope it sounds better in iTunes quality though.
Now that you mention it, it kinda reminds me of that too! Well, only production-wise and only with the uptempo stuff since Statues covered sadder things.
