The problem with the song is that it wasn't as good as you all made it out to be, or at least it wasn't massively appealing. It had everything in its favor. And if you think that Xtina version would have helped considerably under any circumstance, then you need to go back and time and look at how the Xtina version BOMBED on iTunes.

It was just good and a pleasant surprise from her. Not memorable or irresistibly catchy at all.

The single being changed had nothing to do with it. No one knew about "Venus." If it were meant to smash, it would have. Y'all need to stop with the excuses. Gaga did her part and promoted the song, so it wasn't her fault either. The ball was in the public's court.
