It's honestly one of the best things she's ever done. I love the doo wop vocals repeating throughout the song. The big tom drum that comes in every 10 seconds. The gorgeous melodic synth. The violins that come in when she says "A subtle power"... I get goosebumps everytime. It's almost orchestral.
The poetic lyrics, the haunting Bjork-like background vocals, the snaps, the hidden growl, Frank's low voice, Bey's touching delivery
But I guess it's a matter of taste
Yes.
And the way violins at the end of the song are very beautiful. It's like the perfect way to end the song.
The last 3 songs of BEYONCÉ are so unappreciated, it makes me sick.
Its the perfect ending to the album. All contain beautiful vocals and is lyrically the best section of the album.
But of course basic b**ches make their selects instead of appreciating the masterpiece that is BEYONCÉ.
Survivor (standard edition) has very good and relatable individual songs.
but they're good to play on shuffle with others 2000s R&B albums (Ashanti, Ciara, Mya, Janet, etc...).
AALIYAH last and eponym album was the logical follow up to "The Writings On The Wall". pretty sure Beyoncé realized her album was basic back then when she heard AALIYAH.
Frank is such a drama queen for not appearing in the SP video
The director said Beyoncé asked him a few times
He didn't deserve a feature credit
Good. I don't need him in my screen. There's a reason I always skip that song, she should have sang it with someone else. Bruno would have been amazing.
