Pretty sure Gaga's intent was to sabotage the ARTPOP era from the get-go. Interscope interfering and Troy disregarding her vision pretty much cemented that for her as she went along. I mean, from leaking Aura at the very beginning to those awful DWUW performances to basically refusing to promote the entire era to the culmination of her creative rebellion at SXSW, isn't it pretty obvious?

That's why I'm just going to look past the last year and look with hope toward the future. She's a lot smarter than we give her credit for. I just hope she's done making her point and ready to be the queen of pop again.

That actually makes sense nick. I think she was done with Troy after surgery. From then in things probably went downward for her. She also told fans backstage that she acknowledges that ARTPOP era was a mess and has admitted to leaking aura. Makes a lot of sense. Hopefully now that she has the support she wants things will come together a lot better.

I truly do believe ARTPOP was all about making a personal statement, mostly for her self. it's just a matter of coming back from it stronger than ever, which is going to take a lot of work on her end. But like I said, she's smart. I have faith in her.

Just stopping by to ask, does anybody know anything about Cheek to Cheek? I know it's supposed to be out later in the year and it's been pushed back a couple times.

But is it all duets? Are there original songs? Is it finished? I'm always looking forward to new Gaga music.

No (based on recent live performances), very unlikely, I guess (was supposed to be released in January). So are we!

Thanks! Maybe she's waiting to put some distance between the two eras is why its taking so long, but I can't wait.

This performance could have upstaged Miley if she did it. It sounds like the torture stuff is happening behind her behind tinted glass? And then she walks by it and starts flying around the stage?

I kind of really liked her performance though as it was.

I feel the intentional self-sabotage theory is a bit farfetched, but I definitely got the impression that she was rebelling. Presumably against conforming to management/label pressure.

Regardless of intention, you could tell she was very frustrated during ARTPOP. Probably because she thought/was led to believe that it was the record that people wanted to buy.

Hopefully C2C allows her to just enjoy the album and campaign because it's not a large scale pop release. If it sells well and wins awards, all the better.
