it's not racist. the company should have seen this coming though. i dont think they meant it in a racist manner, however. im sure this is a reach. labeling anything and everything as racist hurts the cause because it makes actually racist things not seem so serious because we over-use the term.

I don't get what people are confused about. I mean anyone who doesn't have straight hair should see why it might be offensive bc it basically says curly hair looks dumb or untidy while straight hair is tidy and smart

And the reason while some might say its racist is a lot of the times natural black hair is portrayed as being unkempt or dirty so black people feel pressured to chemically straighten their hair so to have a sign that says "Look smart" with a black girl w/ straight hair reinforces that.

But white people just don't have to face this and are quick to call us sensitive. Pick up a book or something. Ignorance is not bliss I promise, just makes you look stupid as f*ck .
