Ultraviolence has its good moments, but overall most of its lyrics are very amateurish. Its the melody, production and the cinematic mood she creates that may disguise the weak lyrics sometimes, but, overall, a lot of the lyrics are weak, no matter what she does to hide them. She's certainly unique in the current mainstream music scene, but that does not make her lyrics by default any better.

I don't like this one either. The opening strings make me cringe and the lyrics are very basic too...maybe except for the bridge, but that's only one part of a 3 minutes+ song.
