True, but only because they ****ed up Maneater's release as 2nd single. They rush-released Say It Right but by then the album had already lost some steam there.
Interscope scrapped the release of Maneater there because it was flopping on radio and they decided to go with SYR istead.
They never sent it for adds, I don't think it flopped because it actually reached around #6 on iTunes in the US without airplay, so there was definitely potential.
