She's never been affectionate and she says I'm ungrateful because she's done "so much for me". It sounds like you just need some time apart. Like, I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem like you two will ever be 100% ok and close, but I think a fair amount of time away from her would cool off some of the hatred you have and maybe make you feel less happy for her death.
