Look how well Applause did! It wasn't the biggest seller but it sure did have some impact and it's a very well known song. My friends all love it and think it's her best since poker face. My dad loves it and he hates Gaga.

The only reason the other 2 singles didn't do quite as well is because they weren't handled well. GUY had zero promo and even though DWUW didn't sell much either it still is very well known and still gets a lot of airplay.

the only reason this era didn't go well was the lack of management/promo and all the media outlets bashing her led people to believe that Gaga was a failure

With proper promo and an image boost from C2C, Gaga's next lead single could do fantastic

Her management isn't getting something right since the Judas fiasco so I wouldn't confide that much in an utter genius from them but I really hope C2C can somehow give her a better image and reception translating into some positive hype for her next album.

Because when Gaga wrote ARTPOP she was probably thinking ' I'm Lady ****ing Gaga'. But when she released Applause and got dragged to hell and back I think her ego slowed down and realised that people wont eat eveyrthing she throws them just because she is Lady Gaga. And after all the drags I think that she will release something really lead single worthy and the most mportant- GOOD! And I am sure that she is STARVING to get a hit. No matter what she says.

That's what I'm hoping for. Honestly though, C2C could do wonders for her. There's so many promo opportunities during the time it's being released too. People will see her more toned down look and they'll hear her beautiful voice and they'll most likely gain respect for her. This era could be the way to repair her broken image

I've said this before, but I don't give a **** about her commercial success any more. It's too much pointless stress and grief. I just want her to not compromise herself musically and pay less attention to the charts and sales.

But let me be real for a second the birthday lyrics video is really fun and good and even better than the music video. Gagz better plan out her lead single better next time and serve us a good lyrics video 1st day.
