Lots has happened since my last visit in this thread, but I will talk about that when the WC ends. I’m here to give my two cents about what transpired today.
When I got home, my brother told me some history was made, a bad one and I couldn’t believe when I heard him say that Brazil lost 1-7! I couldn’t believe it. I had to watch the DVR of this game as soon as I heard and damn, what a massacre it was esp. the first 30 mins. I mean, pitiful defense and sloppy gameplay. They were too offensive and that didn’t even produce that much. 7 goals from 5 different players. Germany play good and took advantage of Brazil’s f**kery.That’s all they did. I knew this B squad of Brazil wouldn’t fare much against Germany, but I didn’t think it would be this bad. Granted they were w/o Neymar and Thiago, but I don’t even think they could have picked up the terrible gameplay of this team. This squad just plain sucks.
It’s sad that the good member on your team was your goalie and it wasn’t even his fault that 7 goals were scored. Oscar was the only one that I saw that didn’t f**k things up and scored the last minute goal. The rest were either bad, didn’t do anything, but stand there or past their prime. The coach should’ve know better, but he didn’t. Watch him get sacked. I feel no sympathy for that squad, but I feel so bad for their fans all crying, pissed off and sad. This defeat + the rough shape Brazil as a country is already in. Damn. No one wants to admit they are from Brazil since this is the real sh*t. I feel sad when the US lost the way they lost to Belgium (who played good, but weren’t lucky in their shots until OT) last Tuesday and I didn’t want to admit that I’m from the US (and born in San Jose-Damn it Chris!), but that really pale in comparison to Brazil. Funny that on those Tuesdays, I had bad Mondays because I bombed my speeches. It’s like I can’t be happy.
Props to Germany for actually playing the game and taking advantage. All the players were top notch.
I’m not going to look all the posts from this thread during when the game was on. It’s too much of them, a hot mess, and don’t got time. I bet right now, Brazil is in a riot state of affairs. They really take football serious there. Its their sacred sport. German fans better be careful when finding a safe place back to your hotels and stuff like that in Brazil. The whole team and coach better pray (some of them did) that things in Brazil don’t get worse and take all the abuse they are going to get. About the next game, Argentina will lose badly, but not as hard as Brazil. Argentina is not its usual self and they had it easy. So it’s Germany vs. The Netherlands at the finals where Germany will win it all since Germany didn’t struggle that much in this WC while The Netherlands did a bit recently. Seriously, this World Cup has been exciting and too much to handle this time around. For better or for worse. What a rush and adrenaline.
