'Alone in the Dark' Music Video Premiers on MTV

As promised by Charli, her new music video was just released today. It's the music video for the single 'Alone in the Dark', which is upon a few hours after it's release, was in the top 20 and later on, topped ITunes Charts all around the world. The music video, which was Premiered on MTV infront of millions, was later added to Vevo and is currently being watched by many people.
The music video starts off with a unclear view and dark black & white shot of a couple inside of a fully white house. They are in some sort of corridor. They are arguing and screaming at each other. The Girl starts shaking her head screaming back at the guy, who suddenly pushes her down, and she falls on the ground. We get a shot of the floor as if it was a security camera filming the scene and we see the guy running away, and hitting a coffee table down. The vase on it falls and breaks. The guy keeps on breaking stuff for a few seconds and we get another security camera shot of the room. It's all trashed up. The guy runs out of the house. The camera zooms on the face of the girl who fell down. We can now see that it's Charli XCX. Her eyes are wide open. Her mouth is slightly open as if she didn't believe what was happening. Her eyeliner melts down a bit and it looks as if she cried.
The music starts and Charli gets up and looks around her. She starts singing the lyrics. As the music continues, we can see Charli looking around the room. During the first chorus, she is on her knees looking straight into the camera and her hair starts flying around her. A few seconds also show us Charli singing in the living room while the camera is filming the scene in a green light. Charli looks fierce and determined. Another shot shows us Charli on her knees again and this time her hair covers up her face, like in the single cover of 'Alone in the Dark'. Right when the verse kicks in, Charli is shown in the living room again with the same 'army' of teenage and children girlswith pink lightnings on their heads from the 'You're The One' music video. Charli continues singing. Charli is then shown in the middle of an empty street, singing and throwing some fuel at a vintage car in the middle of this street. She blows the Car up, the burning fire is pink though. She dances around it and she seems happy. The 'army' is with her and they just do a circle around the pink flames covering the car while Charli jumps around. During the final seconds of the video, the 'Army' suddenly jumps and the video goes black while a video/electronic like lighting appears and forms the word 'XCX'.

Rumours have surfaced that Bonnie McKee's second single has been chosen!
Pop singer Bonnie McKee's new EP 'Young Love' has just been released, and rumours have already began circling about which song will be the follow-up to Bonnie's hit single "Smile", which lead into the release of the EP.
Sources claim that "Young Love", the EP's title track, is in talks to be the second official single from the set, but not free from fierce competition from other potential single candidates and favourites of Bonnie herself, "Disaster" and "Look What U Got".
Critics have complimented all three of these songs from the EP, with specific favour towards "Young Love" and "Disaster". In terms of success right out of the gate, behind lead single "Smile", "Young Love" is performing very well on the iTunes charts, closely followed by "Look What U Got", with "Disaster" failing to chart as high as the others.
There is still potential, however, for another track from the EP to be released as a single. Sphinx Records have claimed that there will be a total of three singles to be released from the EP before focus on Bonnie's sophomore album begins, and Bonnie has stated that single focus will remain on hit "Smile" for the meantime. However, it appears that "Young Love" is certainly the favourite to follow up "Smile" when the time is right.
Bonnie will be promoting both her single "Smile" and EP 'Young Love' on her upcoming 'Summer Smile' US tour.

Physical editions of "Smile" and 'Young Love', available in stores now.
Both Bonnie's latest hit single "Smile" and the brand new EP 'Young Love', featuring "Disaster" and "Look What U Got", are available on iTunes and in stores now.

Mariah’s Live SU2C Charity Performance

After the Stand Up To Cancer commercial which features Mariah Carey, her single and album track (Libidinous Dream & I'm Not Done) premiered last week, the commercial itself had managed to garner up to USD$200 million worldwide alone. "Stand Up To Cancer’s mission is to raise funds to accelerate the pace of groundbreaking translational research that can get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives now. Stand Up To Cancer brings together the best and the brightest researchers and mandates collaboration among the cancer community. By galvanizing the entertainment industry, Stand Up To Cancer has set out to generate awareness, educate the public on cancer prevention and help more people diagnosed with cancer become long*term survivors." says the spokesman of Stand Up To Cancer. “Mariah Carey has helped us in generating that awareness, therefore Stand Up To Cancer's team will be organizing a free live performance stream from Mariah herself on their website to thank the people who have contributed their unseen efforts.
Later that evening, the Stand Up To Cancer's team tweeted that Mariah will perform live very soon and revealed the setlist of the performance.
Setlists:
1. I'm Not Done
2. Libidinous Dream
3. Hero
Minutes later, Mariah went on live on the Stand Up To Cancer website. Mariah was wearing a tight pink dress from the Donatella Spring Collection of 2013 and minimal makeup. "Hi dahhlings !!! Firstly, I would love to thank y'all for donating to the Stand Up To Cancer program !! Your efforts will help in the research of cancer and how to cure it in the future. So I'll perform a few songs live as a thank you for donating."
She started with a few melisma runs and whistles as an intro for the song, "I'm Not Done". This live performance was a more upbeat one compared to the studio version which also made the song sounded more fun and interesting compared to the studio version which sounded more "ballady". Although her live performance sounded more upbeat, but her live vocals had retained that emotional side that the studio version had. After the performance for "I'm Not Done", the intro of "Libidinous Dream" kicks in. "Thank you for making "Libidinous Dream" my first top 10 in 5 years *wipes tears* so let me perform this for y'all too !!!" The live performance sounded like the studio version, but Mariah did a few melisma runs to show that she was really singing it live and not from a prerecorded track.
Mariah then took a 5 minute break to rest her vocals as the Stand Up To Cancer alternative commercial was played. The live performance resumed and Mariah appeared in a one sleeve violet dress inspired by a seashell. "This is dedicated to all the people who are out unsung heroes in our heart. This is "Hero" by me.....", she says as the the intro of "Hero" kicks in. As always, the performance of "Hero" was emotional. She did something different with the bridge by adding a vocoder effect to give it a more nostalgic feel to the song. She ended the performance with a whistle note singing: "There's a heeeeeerrrrrrrroooooooooooooooo...."
The Stand Up To Cancer free charity live performances received rave reviews from both the critics and the public. "Great choice of clothing, and most importantly beautiful and live vocals" said by a satisfied donator from the United States. Celebrities like Drake and Justin Timberlake have praised the performance and said it was her best performance since the BET Awards show.

Charli XCX on Alan Carr: Chatty Man

Charli XCX made a stop on another TV show to promote her latest single 'Alone in the Dark'. She arrived on the set wearing a long blue Roberto Piqueras top with leggings having a space pattern all over them. She was greeted by the crowd with excited screams. Alan then gave her a big hug before inviting her to sit down.
They never are this much excited when I walk in!
But I am *laughs*
Would you like some wine?
Oh yes please!
We all do! You're rise was so sudden! Did you meet a few interesting people on the way?
Oh yes, I've met a lot of interesting people. Well first of all I've been working with Ariel Rechtshaid since 2010, he's my favorite producer a long with Patrik Berger. Marina & the diamonds and I have always been great friends, she's so nice and she helps me through the difficult times as well. Also Rita Ora, She has a new single out and it's an amazing song! I can't stop listening to it. I met with her about a month ago, she was working on her new album in the same studio as I was and it sounded amazing already. We chatted a little bit and she was so nice! I also liked Zendaya & Taylor Swift.
Well that's one long list! On what are you currently working on relating to your album?
Well I've finished adding the finishing touches to the track 'Tokyo Lights' of which I sang a small acapella snippet of the other day at a club. The studio version is so good!
You recorded a new version of your single 'Alone in the Dark' which is a remix that features Brooke Candy, why Brooke Candy?
Cause she amaze me! I've known her for some time now and she recorded this track with me on True Romance called 'Cloud Aura'. I wanted a bit of her this era as well but she didn't fit the album generally. I had just finished recording the original song that i met her again and we bought a few clothes together and I told her about it and that I wanted her on a remix of the song. And that's how it went!
You just released the music video of the single, there's this scene where you burn a car, how does it relate to the song really? You're not even really alone in the dark anymore your with this army of girls!
Well it was a bit a 'Revenge' scene. After you breakup, you feel like you're alone in the dark for some time. Then the sort of 'hatred' comes. In the video I represented the hatred arriving with this army of little girls and i set fire to the car as if it was the car of the ex-boyfriend *sips wine*
You're going to perform for us now!
I'm excited!
Charli XCX then got up wearing another Roberto Piqueras outfit with some heavy make up on. She started dancing to the Remix version of 'Alone in the Dark' which features Brooke Candy. When Charli's part started she started screaming her lyrics. The lights started going crazy and they all started shooting purple-pink, blue and Yellow colors. The crowd was hysterical. Charli started playing around with her hair. making some hair flips. Right when the Remix ended the original song started playing right from the last chorus and Charli sang her heart out. But instead of ending the song here, the Salem Remix of the song started playing and Charli danced to it doing an impressive choreography.

Christina appears on Jimmy Kimmel

Last night, the 'voice of our generation' visited the beloved Kimmel studios in Hollywood, California. Yes! It was none other than: Christina Aguilera herself. It was a special treat for many fans and casual music lovers yesterday since Xtina rarely ever greets Jimmy Kimmel without a good enough reason. Well, this time around, she shared a little something something with us. Aguilera performed reggae track "Spitfire" featuring Azealia Banks although the female rapping songstress wasn't able to join Christina for this performance stint due to scheduling conflicts revolving around her very own personal musical ventures, regarding her latest second single "Paradise" - which was also released a couple of days ago. You see, Azealia had a special impromptu fan signing in The Bronx and quite meticulously clashed with the Kimmel performance. Not to worry too much though! Word on the street is that Aguilera and Banks will eventually come together for an incredibly significant moment in each of their incredible careers and potential lifespan. It shall undeniably be an amazing feast for us all. So anyways, Christina performed for everybody with reggae track "Spitfire" which will be included on her mystifying upcoming 8th studio record - "Pandora's Box". There isn't a release date set yet although there have been a bunch of rumours floating around the Internet's stratosphere that "Pandora's Box" will be up for pre-order pretty soon. Save up your coins y'all!

Aguilera's second single "Spitfire" f/ Azealia Banks is now available for purchase.

Mariah Carey on The Rachael Ray Show

To promote her latest single "Libidinous Dream" and album "The Stygian Chevalier", Mariah went on The Rachael Ray Show to perform "Libidinous Dream". She will also do an interview with Rachael on her latest upcoming projects, a possible tour, experimenting on new musical genre's and more. Also Mariah will be cooking with Rachael in the studio during her cooking segment. The show was advertised on CBS channel 3 times a day weeks before she came on the show to give it hype. The hashtag #MConRachaelRay was trending worldwide for 18 hours due to the hype. 10 million people tuned in to watch, mostly due to watch how Mariah will cope cooking in the kitchen.
For the medley performance of "Libidinous Dream", Mariah wore a simple black singlet with the words "I'm Free"and a jeans. She had her hair straightened, a pair of limited edition Tiffany & Co. golden earrings, and a pair of hand made glossy stilettos for her performance on the show. The performance gave a 70s vibe as the band members wore wide-legged, flared jeans and trousers that gave a throwback disco appearance. As the chorus came, a few pairs of dancers, also with the 70s-inspired look came out with roller skates. A few disco balls were included to give the lightings a 70s club feel. Mariah herself danced with the dancers using the iconic "Disco Swing" choreography during the second verse and chorus as she croons through the track which made the crowd go wild. When the bridge came, Mariah and the dancers did another iconic choreography of the 70s, which is"The Hustle" choreography and it made the crowd start to go even wilder than before. When the last chorus came in, she did a gospel-inspired outro with the backing vocalists acapella which brought the performance to an end. The camera then pans across the audience to show that they are giving Mariah a standing ovation. After the commercial break, Mariah was shown wearing a Emporio Armani black skirt, with a pair of Jimmy Choo's black stilettos as she sat down for a brief interview with Rachael.
__________________________________________________ ________________________
Q: Wow !! Beautiful performance, you have given me so much nostalgia on the 70s *wipe tears*
MC: You're welcome !! It's something that I've never done before. It was my idea for the setup because the song has a 70s disco vibe too.
Q: You had an album out last week, "The Stygian Chevalier". What made you go and experiment on different musical genre's for this album ?
MC:Oh dahhling, something just snapped in me and I decided to do it. I have been holding back to experiment because I was afraid that people will not appreciate it. I have did a few songs in the past like "Say Something" and it got mixed reviews from both the critics and the public. But then I thought to myself that I am 44, what is there to lose ? I'm glad it got positive reception from both the critics and the public because it is something outside my comfort zone.
Q: I heard that a new single is coming out next week. May we know what single it is ?
MC: Dahhling, I am planning to make it a surprise, but I will give ya'll a hint. A surefire hit that will dominate the charts because it is very experimental but it still has the "Mariah" essence in it.
Q: I also heard you may be touring. What kind of tour will you be doing if you're going to tour?
MC: A world tour because my fans have waited for so long that I tour worldwide. And some of the performances will be purely acoustic.
Q: You've recently have been casted on the "Resident Evil 6" movie. Any upcoming projects in the future??
MC: I am hoping to release a new perfume and a new clothing line in the near future if it is possible.
__________________________________________________ ________________________
After another commercial break, Rachael's cooking segment started as Mariah was seen wearing a simple blue apron, enough to cover the clothings from getting stains. "Today, we'll be cooking a famous Thai dish, which is the Pineapple Fried Rice !!!" Rachael shouted. Before Rachael had even finished saying the ingredients, Mariah quickly went to the fridge to grab the ingredients needed and placed it on the counter top, which stunned both the audience and Rachael herself. "Wha......tt ?", as Rachael tried to utter the word from her mouth. Rachael quickly regain her composure though and continued the show. "Are you a great cook at home, Mariah ?" Rachael asked while she was chopping pineapple in to small bite size blocks. "Yes, I am a great cook at home. I used to be lousy at cooking before I was married though", Mariah answered. Rachael let Mariah do most of the cooking while she herself did most of the explanation on the Pineapple Fried Rice. The show ended after Mariah finished cooking and the audience in the studio was seen to love Mariah's cooking very much.
The show has gotten positive reception worldwide from the critics and public alike. Due to the great performance and the cooking segment, the Rachael Ray Show have received their best ratings in years. "Who would have thought the best selling female artist of all time would know how to cook? And with her diva antics, it makes it even impossible to believe to be quite honest." Perez Hilton said in a interview.

Released on Monday, 14th of July
Charli XCX just revealed the title of her sophomore album, revealed it's cover and made it available for Pre-order. The album is titled 'Devour My Heart' and currently has it's own banner on ITunes. The rest of the tracks are labelled 'Track1', 'Track 2', 'Track 3' etc. The album has 12 songs on it and doesn't have a deluxe edition. The snippets will be available to be listened to when Charli reveals the tracklist. The album will be released on Monday 14th of July.

Sunday, July 6th Promotion
Z100
Upon the release of their first album/EP is six years, Danity Kane stopped at the biggest radio station on the East Coast, Z100 / 100.3FM, which goes on the air from the Empire State Building. Their EP is currently at #2, right under Azealia Banks's sophomore album 'Reborn', which seems to be the biggest competition out of the new releases this week. Other new releases include Bonnie McKee and Kelly Clarkson, and last week big debuts were made by Taylor Swift and Rihanna on the Albums chart. In addition to the interview they did, the girls performed acoustic versions of all three songs on the EP. All of the performances aired on the station and were uploaded exclusively to Z100's YouTube channel and website. In the performances, they used guitars, pianos and buckets to accompany themselves. Their vocals were on-point and their emotions/personalities shined differently through each track. The girls showed up looking absolutely stunning, as today was an incredible day for them.
Host: Ladies and gentlemen, we have the legendary Danity Kane in the studio with us today!
Danity Kane: Hello!
Shannon: I think “legendary” might be a little too much though…
Host: Well it’s true - you are the only girl group to have your first two albums hit #1 on the Billboard 200. I mean we’ve had so many girl groups in the past that remain legendary, but they couldn’t achieve that. So I thought it would’ve been fair to call you girls “legendary", but I guess not.
Dawn: Thank you though, we do try to keep it moving as much as possible.
Host: So - everybody listening, Danity Kane has released their comeback EP called ‘DK3’ this morning. So everybody, go to Walmart, go to iTunes - just get it NOW!
Aubrey: YAS! Purchase it!
Host: Do you think this will mark number three?
Dawn: What?
Host: Do you think you girls can extend your record and have this become your third consecutive album/EP to go #1 on the Albums chart?
Aubrey: I have no idea. I mean, we’ve got amazing promotion lined up but everybody’s doing their own thing at this point. It’s not like before where everybody would literally go on the same shows, same stations, etc. Things are really starting to get creative now-a-days… and yeah, we’ve got something very exciting underway which is quite creative besides the MTV Takeover, but we just have no idea if it’s gonna be enough to get us to #1.
Host: If you had to take a wild guess though - would you be #1?
Dawn: Well right now I would say a “no”. Azealia Banks just released her album, and she’s got so much running for it. Her lead single hit #1, she’s up on Single #2 this week plus she’s featured on the new Christina Aguilera single. And then you look at us, and we’ve got our second week in of “Lemonade”. Hahaha, yeah, I don’t think we’re hitting #1. #2 is really possible though.
Host: So let’s talk this MTV Takeover, which literally everybody I know is going insane about. What can we expect?
Aubrey: Well we changed it from seven days to five days, now that the promotion limit has tightened a lot. So starting tomorrow, Monday, and ending on Friday, it’s just going to be a complete Danity Kane takeover from 12PM EST to 10PM EST for those five days.
Shannon: And we’ve got some very exciting stuff happen. Tomorrow we’re going to premiere the “Lemonade” music video, which we shot two weeks ago but it just got finalized yesterday. And then we’re going to have like three seasons of Making the Band re-run, which is going to be insanely fun. Then we’ll do a little reunion, where Day26 is coming back, so is Aundrea and NOW D. Woods is coming too.
Host: I’ve been meaning to ask - have you talked to D. Woods since she threatened to leak your old album?
Dawn: I did and it was brief, but basically everything will be settled at the reunion. So yeah, it’s one to watch for sure.
Host: And what else is going on - any performances or anything?
Aubrey: Actually, we want to perform with Aundrea and maybe D. Woods if she wants, and invite them to our MTV Unplugged special, which will be on Wednesday. So basically we do all the old hits with them and we’ll perform the brand-new EP towards the end. It’s gonna be pretty great.
Host: Well your acoustic performances you did just now were definitely amazing - I’d LOVE to see the original five do it again!
Dawn: Yeah, it’d be cool.
Host: So why the name ‘DK3’, and why three songs? I mean, fans were kinda hoping for a full album.
Dawn: Well, we had only formed and regrouped as a trio recently, so the making of the album would take quite some time but we knew the fans were going to die if they didn’t get new music.
Shannon: We’ve been hyping the new Danity Kane up since shortly before the VMAs last year, so obviously we didn’t want to make the fans wait more and more for new music. I mean, we don’t consider the “Blackout” release an actual one, although we kinda do. I mean we only put out one single so it was really unfair. But with D. Woods having the files to our 2013 album, maybe things’ll work out after all.
Host: Do you anticipate on releasing a full-length album with Revolution Records?
Dawn: Not this year, no.
Aubrey: If anything, it’ll be next year. The release schedule has been worked out already, and we’re going to be touring almost all year long. It’s very exciting, actually. We’re finally starting to make our name a global brand, and all the places we’ve been to have been incredibly supportive. And right after this, we’re catching a plane to London because we’re performing at Glastonbury tonight. We’re very, very excited.
Host: Will you be performing all of the tracks at Glastonbury?
Shannon: Of course! It’s only three tracks, and back to that other question. We called it ‘DK3’ because one, it’s our third project being released; two, there’s three of us now; three, there’s three songs on the EP. But yeah, our set at Glastonbury is rather shorter compared to all the mega stars there, but the fact that the UK is giving us a chance is incredible. We’ll also be on Strictly Come Dancing, which is like UK’s Dancing With the Stars, but different a bit.
Host: Well we’ve been playing “Lemonade” here as much as possible, and all of this week we’re going to play it at the top of every hour to celebrate Danity Kane’s new EP release!
Danity Kane: Thank you!
Host: So what do you girls do in your free time?
Aubrey: I definitely spend time with my family, exercise a bit and just play music nonstop. I like to just hit the clubs and have a good time. I don’t know about Dawn though, she spends like all of her time music/career-related. But she’s fun too!
Dawn: Yeah, I’m always keeping it running, managing my solo album and this group too. But I go out sometimes ya know, I like to go back to New Orleans a lot in my free time. But over the past three weeks, we haven’t had any free time.
Shannon: It’s all “Work! Work! Work!”. But I’m married and have a child, so it’s like a little stay-at-home mom thing when I’m not doing this. It’s been really fun though, my life’s great.
Host: If you could pick one artist to collaborate with who would it be?
Dawn: Definitely Céline Dion. Definitely - she’s got that energy that’s just made for the new Danity Kane.
Aubrey: I’d love to work with Rihanna, she’s so incredible. I mean I would say Mariah, but vocally, yeah let’s not do that she’ll destroy us…
Shannon: I’d say Britney! I love how she’s taking more time into songwriting, that’s really great and we can’t wait for her album to come out next week!
Host: In fact, you three, or four with Aundrea last year, did collaborate with Céline Dion. You girls did a “Ratchette” remix, right?
Shannon: Yes, we did and we actually performed it with her on Canada’s Got Talent. But she got arrested that night… during the performance… it was a very interesting moment…
Aubrey: QUEEN. WHO ELSE?
Dawn: Aubs…
Host: Alright so any final words Danity Kane?
Aubrey: YES! My money makin’ brothers - go purchase ‘DK3’ on iTunes NOW! Where y’all at?
