McCain has actually served this country. Like Palin keeps saying "There is only one man who has ever fought for you". He has seen war first hand, so he would know what to do in a war
McCain was not the only one who has fought for us. Also, I strongly disagree that being a POW makes you qualified to be president. Many POWs and Vets have come out to show their opposition to McCain “selling his POW title” and cheapening their painful experience. By the way, four years ago when Kerry ran for President, it was the republicans who were wearing fake band-aids to mock his war experience, now look at them.
McCain has always stated he is willing to work with different political parties, no matter thier view. I have yet to hear Obama say the same. McCain wants everyone to come together to help decide whats best for this country, not everyone in his party to decide whats best.
Sorry, but again I must disagree. In Obama’s “short” time in the senate, he has worked across party lines on things like putting spending bills online so people can see when there is a “bridge being built to nowhere”, he’s worked with Republicans on ethics reforms, death penalty in his home state, and energy bills to name a few. He is an avid supporter of working across party lines, and in fact it is one of the areas where he was able to outshine Hillary in the primaries.
McCain has been in the U.S. senate for 26 years while Obama has only been a U.S.for less than 1 term.
What does this argument say about where he plans to take the country? Again, he has been warming his senate seat much longer than Obama, but when he voted with Bush so closely, how are we supposed to believe he will change over night? Oh that’s right, he changed from a deregulator to a regulator overnight. So I suppose his next magic trick is to change his voting patterns from Bush just like that. Experience does not equal Judgment.
McCain is for off-shore drilling which would help lower gas prices. Obama is against it.
Obama is for some off shore drilling but against abusing it, and for good reason. We need to start focusing on alternative energy, rather than blindly consuming the very thing that’s making global warming much worse. But apparently McCain does not believe global warming is even caused by man. How can you fix something when you have no idea what the problem is?
Please tell me what laws obama has passed or anything he voted for in the senate, cause I can't think of any.
You probably can’t think of any because you never bothered to do some research. I won’t even name them because to me it’s ridiculous that someone would say “He hasn’t done anything/has no experience” without checking the facts.
In all honesty, McCain has done a great deal for this country, but he has lost track of a clear path for the future. He’s blinded by war and foreign affairs and lost focus of the devastation happening here at home. He has promoted more division and hate towards his opponent than anyone this year and it looks like it’s about to get worse. His campaign thrives on tabloid controversies and plummets on the issues. If both campaigns are any indication of their leadership, I think Obama has proven himself, despite criticisms to be the best choice.
But I respect your favorable opinion on McCain, I just don’t think you have looked into Obama enough.
