Ellie, Cayman Records end their contract
 
Ellie Goulding and Cayman Records have decided to end their contract together. After one unpromoted single, both parties felt like it was time to part ways.
Cayman Records desired to put 100 percent of their effort into promoting Zedd, as they had already started doing so. The label does not have enough resources to promote multiple artists with the maximum 30 promo spots per artist.
Ellie desired to go to a label where she would receive all of the attention so she can make her new releases successful. She felt like she was not going to ever recieve a decent amount of attention with Cayman Records. She stated, "They're a great label, but they really need to focus on Zedd." Ellie is rumored to be signing to a new record label started by K$Ellie.
Cayman Records continues to have Zedd on their roster. A new single should come out tonight.
