Sherrie Austin has about 30,000 copies we sent out where we swapped around the order of the tracks and did the, "Brilliant Mistake" promo. We'd send out autographed CDs to the 30,000 that received them and notified us. Turns out, people were just pissed and she took a hard hit on sales after that.
The other was Jeff Carson. Curb put out two versions of the album one for the East Coast and one for the West Coast. The songs were supposed to be different on both. lol Well, they were and the East Coast they messed up and no one out there ended up with a copy of his single at the time, Real Life. Well, that was towards the end of Curb and Jeff got pissed off and the backfire eventually ruined his career. He's a cop now.
A lot of my early work was in country. So, I don't have lots of pop girl experience until about 2010.

You should work for Blind Gossip instead sis

Oh, Divas Live '97.
I've never even seen the special. The whole release confuses me, because some come with the DVD or whatever.
But I'm trying to finish her basic discography first. Mariah has so many albums.
I still need to buy her 2 Christmas Albums + Greatest Hits + Essential Mariah + MTV Unplugged.
I have all her studio albums tho, all 14. I only have 2 Physical singles, though.

Speaking of Zendaya, iforgiveyou sis, do you know if she's still with Hollywood Records and do you know what's going on with her flop career?

How come labels don't have their artists do MDNA's, as in bundling the album with touring tickets?
I mean 1 million people on tour is an easy Platinum if you bundle the album with the ticket price?
|
Madonna is partnered with Live Nation, so I think that is where the promotion stemmed from.
It's a smart marketing move, but it would most likely need to increase the cost of a ticket. So a $35 ticket would need to be bumped to $40 to offset the associated costs with the album. But hell, I'll pass along the idea. It's not a bad one in this day and age.

Don't forget the good sis Džordana. I went to her concert once and damn the girl...
Her performance slayed during 2013 MAMAs though. I was bopping.
Same, I hate this country too. I want to move to UK.

I usually don't buy music digitally, I prefer owning them. I have quite a big Collection. The problem in Dubai is that you only find albums and not singles physically. I just wish i could walk right in some store and buy them. I always buy my physical singles online
Also vinyls, like you can find vinyls here and a few box sets but you can't find loads of variety i always buy them online as well

Please tell your boss that if Mariah's on his label she NEEDS promotion. Like I just need her to hit 100k.

Taylor will. I don't work for Big Machine, but I have heard some of the partnerships she is going to have.

Amazon has all of them. You just got to 'Used' and most sell at low as $0.01 + $3.99 shipping. Most are in Good / Very Good condition too.
I've never gotten a raggedy condition album. Most look new.

They don't sell physical singles in US either. Atleast since not like 2000.
You'd have to get them at music stores (which cease to exist at this point) or online here.
They're mostly in very small / poor countries I think.

I have no idea, I will e-mail my friend who works for Hollywood. I probably won't hear back until Monday.

So, I am going back to playing the game now. And I am going to have to block my private messages on the site again.

Oh God, Mango, I remember I was so sad when my mom bought their last CD/casette or whatever. I think I still have it somewhere in the house though. But ddddd did you see that Minedas is doing a comeback? I literally screamed when I saw his new promoshoot. Oh, and his Ask.fm is so cringeworthy.
GJan is probably the only good artist in this country. She needs to work with those cheap budget videos though.
Have you seen SKAMP's new video? It's cool. And that song is a bop as well.
My ultimate goal is to live in US, but all that paper work and that **** with visas would be just too much for me, so I guess I'll just stick with UK.
