Home now. Honestly when I found out a few rounds ago we wouldn't write a new song for this round I was sure I would be 3rd. Tymps and Fefe are both huge forces I didn't think I could tackle. The fact that I got 2nd and was that close to winning this entire thing is astounding for me.
Fefe, I knew you'd win this whole thing since the birthday round. I never wanted to say it because I really wanted to win too, but I knew this would be the outcome and you deserve every bit of it. We both became frontrunners and scored high on many of the same challenges and I'm I got to know you and I hope we can work together in whatever positions we're in next season.
(comments for the judges, Euphorae, and Scorpio coming next)

First Jack. Now that we're here I can finally say it: you were probably my favorite judge (although I can't complain about any of you judges this season, you all did a terrific job). I think the advice you gave me is what made me go far. There were certain times, like with Bulldog, where you saw what I saw in the song that no one else seemed to see. Even though you critiqued me just as much or more than the other judges what you said ALWAYS helped me. It didn't even matter that you didn't post as much as the rest of us because I got exactly what I needed every Saturday/Sunday with your comments.
Hug, to be honest at first I didn't think much of you. Don't get angry though because I've come to love your personality and your judging. Especially since out of all the judges you've connected with my lyrics more than anyone else. You're the one that would be most likely to buy my music if it came to it. It was your comments that pushed me to continue excellence because I loved the feeling I got when you told me I blew you away.
Nait, I've already said you did a terrific job judging this season. And you really did. Thanks for giving me the track to Strike Twice too because a terrifically catchy song came out of it. You put everything in this competition and theres no denying that. So even though you didn't choose right when the choice came down to you for who would win ( ), I speak for all of us when I say thank you for making this the best, and most successful, season of Platinum Hit yet.
(and now for the last 2)

Scorpio/Christian, thanks for being such a great friend throughout this competition. I'm glad I could help so much with your entries the second half of this competition. One Million Lights was one of the best songs I read this entire competition. Don't give this up either and I hope you're here next season.
Euphoressay, your comments on the 2 rounds I asked you for were probably the best comments I had the entire season. You really would make a great judge. And thanks for being such a presence in the thread, you made this super fun for all of us.
And for anyone with ATRL navigation issues here's the link to Nait's announcement

now I have to decide whether I want to compete or apply for host next season

Well done to all three of you! You did a brilliant job to get here and you're all great. Congrats Fefe on winning too!

Thank you, that means a lot, haha. I know it was ****** at getting things in on time, but I'm glad you felt like my comments were of great help to you, that was my job as a judge, really. You've definitely improved since round one, so well done on getting this far. You should still apply for next season and maybe you'll pull a Fefe.

I feel like since I've won in the past, I should look into hosting, but I'm sure even Nait would say himself, considering how late I was at getting simple entries in, running the game wouldn't be too good for me. I don't want this game to die though, it's such good fun.

If you asked me yesterday I would've said I wanted to host or judge and take part in the competition that way. But getting second place and being SO close to first just makes me want to come back and win. So I guess I'm announcing (not that anyone cares) that I'll be participating next season again as a contestant. This season my overall theme, if anyone could tell, was the stars. Thats why I consider Into the Stars as the song that sums up my experience here this season. And other than that song I purposefully worked the theme of stars into a lot of my other songs, like Powwow; "we'll make the stars dance like aurora lights" and One Last Lullaby, "as diamonds in the sky wave one last goodbye". Right now I'm playing with the idea of focusing on light and the fragility of life, especially since a large portion of my songs this season were based on death and darkness.
So that was basically me saying bunch of stuff no one cares about but get ready for me to come back and OWN season 6.

Jackson, I'm glad you're coming back as a contestant! I think you should, because you totally can pull a Fefe, as Jack! said
I'm still surprised and so happy by the results I really thought Jackson would win after so many people posted about it happening!
Hug: I completely understand you saying that I didn't submit my 'best' song. As I said in my essay, I chose that as my best for a combo of the lyrics + meaning + showing my growth in a different direction of songwriting. So which one did you think was best?
Jack: I think Jackson and I write in a somewhat similar style, so it makes sense when I say that I too looked forward to your feedback most, mostly because you seemed to root for me the most! I feel like you got my songs, and the few times you called me out for playing it safe, you were totally right. I was worried every week about impressing you because I felt like you knew what my strongest work looked like and you wouldn't accept anything less.
Nait: You were an amazing host this season and I'm so glad that my winning season had you as the host. You're leaving really big shoes to fill! (And if I weren't starting school in the fall, I would really consider applying as host!) Thank you for your honest feedback throughout the competition and for providing me with the challenges that have produced my best songwriting!
Scorpio, we didn't talk much in here, but I wanted to let you know that One Million Lights really was an amazing song. I was shocked you didn't win that round, honestly. I wish I wrote that song!
And Euphoria, do I need to say anything when I already have you in my sig? You were the most entertaining part of this season and you better be involved somehow in next season. With your dark horse abilities, I think you should be a contestant and you'll probably knock Jackson out and make it all the way to the top

I'd apply to host again, but I don't have a computer/ISP I trust enough to last a few months.
I personally believe Fefe should host, with Jack! and GotSkill as co-judges.

Of course what I said earlier is what I'm thinking now. Knowing me I might change my mind next week and decide I want to judge again

If I weren't going to school next month I would def host. I think it would be fun. But I think I'm gonna be too busy then to be a good host, especially if the season took place over any weeks where I had final papers due. But I imagine I'll have an hour or two on Saturday to judge, which is why I'd apply to be a judge and not host. I think you should host again! I can't imagine you not having internet for an extended period of time

Although I seem to be the only former judge who does not have plans to leave ATRL (or has already left), we've had this running theme of having a different host every season. It's been more coincidental than anything, but I always thought it was pretty cute.
Also, I'm not sure if Nait would want me to fill out the app or not, since he knows pretty much everything on the app except for the who I'd choose as judges, and I'd choose you (since you said you'd have around an hour or so on Saturdays to judge) and GotSkill.
Although...this could also mean GotSkill could host? Seems about proper since the winner turned it down.

But Jackson wants to play again, and I agree he should. He should have the chance to win a season. I also feel like it's good to go into the game having a contestant we know will take it seriously, so he could be that. Maybe Adem will judge!
Euphoria, I want you as a contestant! I need to come back and write Nighthawks sequels every week!
