You can compare the two success wise because they've literally sold around the same amount, despite one song smashing radio.
What you're basically saying is that (and this is hypothetical) a song that goes #1 on Urban but is at #156 on iTunes is more successful than a song that goes #20 on Urban but is at #35 on iTunes.
And Massive Attack went #22 on the BUBBLING under chart, so for you to compare it to any of this
I've been following music and charts for years and years too. Hell, the top selling RAP album of the year had no form of hit attached to, not even an Urban one (Mastermind).
