Well it's nothing Onika can do about that. If radio isn't here for it, then nothing can change that. I keep telling people that radio is the biggest promo you can get. She could perform PNP 100 times, but if radio doesn't want to accept it then it's a lost cause.

Sia's Chandelier is currently #11 on iTunes with only 24M AI (it just got a 1M update for the first time in a bit). She's performed it at a few places now, and the public has been receptive of it, but radio has been iffy on playing it.

I get what you're saying. But in PNP case, I just don't see it ever getting big even if she did keep performing it. The boost will last for a few and then drop out of the Top 40 again. (But if she keeps doing this it might just go Platinum)

With that being said, I don't think this is the last promo spot planned for PNP.

You can compare the two success wise because they've literally sold around the same amount, despite one song smashing radio.

What you're basically saying is that (and this is hypothetical) a song that goes #1 on Urban but is at #156 on iTunes is more successful than a song that goes #20 on Urban but is at #35 on iTunes.

And Massive Attack went #22 on the BUBBLING under chart, so for you to compare it to any of this

I've been following music and charts for years and years too. Hell, the top selling RAP album of the year had no form of hit attached to, not even an Urban one (Mastermind).

Although I don't agree with a lot of YM8's points, you guys really gotta stop resorting to bringing up Believe Me in regards to his comments about PnP.

There's other ways to prove a point you know.

Massive Attack didn't even impact the Hot 100 at all, so it is incomparable. Pills N Potions is a GREAT track that has gotten a nice amount of praise, a decent amount of airplay, and had moderate chart success. There is no reason to scrap it and not put it on the album, especially if it is similar in the direction to the album, Y'all have got to quit it.

But PNP isn't Massive Attack. People know PNP and it's going to go Gold(like RTM did during PF Era). And you can't compare this and BM? With that much airplay and Drake's digital power, you would think this would be Gold by now. Should Wayne move on and put this on the deluxe edition?

1) Believe Me has restricted range of audience as it is a pure hip hop track and doesnt have any Pop audience to it... Pills N Potions has a bigger audience as it has that Pop chorus

2) Believe Me has no video

3) PnP has been performed way more than Believe Me (more promotion)

Even after all that Believe Me has smashed on radios and is doing better sales (despite being released one week after PnP)

I didnt want to compare but you guys keep bringing it up ... Btw do i think Believe Me should be lead single of C5 ? No for the same reason its not the smash hit wayne needs but the streets like it and radios really picked it up so yeah id keep it in a way

Believe Me isn't the typical Urban smash with a truly catchy chorus. It's not a 6'7 because it's not as catchy. If Wayne wanted it as his lead because he liked it, I don't see a problem. Just like how Nicki won't scrap PNP because it's a truly PERSONAL song to her and her life. Just like how Bey didn't scrap RTW.

Believe me has 45M AI alone. So basically the same amount of people know BM and PNP and there doing quite the same on iTunes. (I hope this make sense)

3) PNP was performed once at the BET Awards same as Believe Me. That 4th of July event had no boost because it was a holiday. I doubt the views will be more than 1M.

1) Debatable considering Believe Me is reaching more people via radio and has strong unofficial streams on youtube.

2) Moot point. It's Lil Wayne And Drake, they'll get the attention no matter what.

y'all are splitting hairs with the Believe Me comparisons. The track might be regulated to deluxe edition status if the album comes out at the end of the year and she releases a smash. The song was an ok success and it's still selling pretty well considering it literally has no pop airplay and limited urban play. I see a new single in the next few weeks anyways.
