I've really nothing against EDM but the remix is nothing special for me, most here on ATRL hype it because it's Disclosure or they just love to hear Usher on EDM beats.

I think Usher sounds good on electro r&b beats like Climax, but tbh he sounds good on literally anything. He has a very versatile voice. Promise is one of the longest number one songs on the Latin chart.

Usher sounds good on any type of beat. I liked his EDM stuff a lot because his voice has that soul element but overtime, his EDM material became more drab rather than exciting. Every album since Confessions had an electro based track that sold that era, whether it be "Love in This Club", "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" or "OMG", but after stuff like "Party Ain't Over", "Rest of my Life" and etc, mostly collabs, it got tiresome and old.

I like it when he does something new and exciting, which is probably why I wasn't the biggest fan of "Scream", (still loved it). I hope we get something exciting this era. I like "Good Kisser" and "I Don't Mind" has its moments, but it's nowhere near the same quality as "Climax" or even "Papers", "Hey Daddy" or "lil Freak". I'm still excited for the album though, that's what matters most to me.

I agree. I thought I was in the minority there, but I liked/like most of his EDM tracks, but I'm ready for him to leave that era behind. "Euphoria" might've been my fave. He was SANGIN on that one. Still mad it never got a proper release: mad:

You know, it still bothers me how they absolutely destroyed his last era. "Euphoria" screamed 2nd single (no pun intended). I always loved his EDM stuff a lot more than his slower R&B songs about the same repetitive subject matter because it never really tops 8701 or Confessions in my book, (aka why I never liked "Dive" or "There Goes My Baby".) That's essentially why I can't stand the urban audience that tout Usher must abide by their urban sound rules.

It's time to leave EDM though, "Euphoria" was his peak in that genre. I never saw Diplo as a dance producer, so electro-R&B is fine, hell whatever he does, I'm cool with it. However I do wish he'd stop remaking "Lil Freak" in "Hot Tottie", "Lemme See", "Go Missin'" and now "I Don't Mind" form lol.

Euphoria had so much potential, it would have gone to number one if it was released. I like that he has explored other genres, and he isn't afraid of it. I would have never thought that he would do a Bachata song, or reggae. I liked Go Missin it was a bit dark and it would be interesting for him to go down that route.

I feel like he won't release in August. There isn't a date set so maybe it might actually be released in September-December.

It hurts me when I read "Euphoria"... this song had really so much potential.... they wasted the song Usher's kills everything in the studio because he has a great voice.

September-December release would be great!

If they want a success, they will delay it. There's no hype surrounding the album. Even L4M had more hype because of 2 successful singles on the chart before and even then it didn't do very well.

Album sales in general are going downhill, but Usher really isn't generating as much buzz as he used to. He needs an OMG style hit to get the general public's attention.

I don't see any problem in releasing it later this year if no date has been set yet. If he wants to recover from L4M's sales then it would be smart to not release next month.

But I think he didnt want to do it anymore after the negativity towards his earlier EDM releases (scream, Without you and Climax) .

He still released Numb though. I think he was going to release Euphoria but after what happened with his ex, he just gave up and that era fell apart.

I agree Euphoria would be probably huge (maybe 10th #1 for him) and would save a bit L4M era.

I like Numb, but it's sorta weak for a single.

I've always said that custody battle took a toll on what he could do w/that album Promo, touring, etc. But it's understandable. I just REALLLY hope they get it together this era. Especially with the visuals. I was so happy to see him dancing again in "Good Kisser".

I'm so anxious for this new single next week. Hoping it's not "I Don't Mind."
