It's not about how many copies ARTPOP sold. The question is did it sell enough to be profitable for the label when you take marketing, promotion and other expenses into consideration? ARTPOP, even though on paper sold more than Bionic, probably was a loss or only broke even. She spent so much money just on the G.U.Y. video.
