Random thoughts for the morning: after driving from Kansas City and here whilst listening to Artpop, I've come to the conclusion that it is quite good. The direction is all over the place and makes little to no sense, however. I skipped some of the worst songs (J&D, MANiCURE, and Donatella) but for the most part, I really enjoyed listening to it. Artpop (title song) is one of her best and I forgot how much I love it! Do What U Want's first prechorus is one of the best moments of her career and Fashion! is still SUCH a bop.
And the only people who hate Dope are the people who don't want her to experiment with other sounds and stay niche and dance-pop for the rest of her career k thanks hihi.
Anyone else notice how she hinted her Cheek to Cheek 70s fashion throughout the Do What U Want era (and after)?
I hate Dope and not because I don't want her to experiment with other sounds but because I don't like how she sings the song. I prefered I wanna be with you.
Also Gaga really expected some backlash for ARTPOP:

I dont hate Dope because its experimental or something. Her drunk terrible vocals ruins the song.
