Marina & The Diamonds in
AMERICAN QUEEN
Marina & The Diamonds premiered her first TV special today, titled "American Queen". The special is definitely one of her more abstract ventures. American Queen is a vessel of promotion for Marina's latest single, 'Where The Diamonds Grow', but the real star of the special is the new song 'Myths'. Other songs featured in the special include: 'The Family Jewels', 'Boys n Girls', and an emotional version of 'Hollywood'. The special's designated hashtag, #AmericanQueen, and fan-made hashtags, #ShowYourBoobsMarina and #MarinaIsOnFireRN, trended worldwide for the duration of the special. The TV event, which aired on NBC and BBC simultaneously, was viewed by over 8 million househollds around the world.
The special starts off with a starry sky and a full moon. The camera pans down to a garden of red, white, and blue flowers. Marina is also in the garden, asleep. Diamonds sparkle in the flowers and Marina awakes. The instrumental of 'Where The Diamonds Grow' plays as Marina pulls herself together. Fireworks go off in the starry sky and Marina makes her way to the house of which the patriotic garden belongs. Red Solo Cups and Budweiser cans are scattered around the floor. Marina walks through the trash to the stairs, from there she climbs the stairs to the attic. She walks to the window, opens it, and sits in it. The WTDG instrumental ends abruptly. After a few seconds of silence, Marina begins singing 'The Family Jewels'. Firework booms are heard throughout the song. At it's end, Marina drops out of the window and the screen goes black. A thud is heard (Marina hitting the ground) and firework booms became very frequent. The American flag waves onto the screen. An illustration of Marina's eyes fades onto the screen after the flag. The eyes blink and the screen changes to reveal Marina in a mirror-covered. The beat of 'Myths' starts and Marina starts singing as the camera revolves around her. With each revolution, Marina's face is painted to look more and more like the American flag. Halfway through the song, Marina proclaims "Cause the world is sick of mythologies" and the mirror walls shatter to reveal a ballroom. Marina skips and twirls around the full ballroom, swerving through dancing couples. The song is interrupted as Marina bumps into someone. The person she ran into turns around to reveal a masked man. He offers Marina a dance and she accepts. As they hold each other, Marina lies her head on his shoulder and starts to sing 'Boys n Girls'. It is very intimate, Marina not blinking throughout the whole song. Near the end of the song a single tear drips down her cheek. The man kisses Marina, then brings her to the center of the ballroom. A boy walks in with a crown and hands it to the masked man. The man places the crown and kisses Marina on the cheek. Everyone in the ballroom cheers as the man leads Marina into her throne room. Marina sits on her throne and starts singing 'Hollywood'. The man takes Marina's hand and dances around the throne room with her. They make their way to the balcony as the chorus ends. The man takes off his mask, revealing he has no eyes. Marina is shocked and starts walking backwards. She falls over the balcony as she finishes 'Hollywood'. The screen goes black and a thud is heard. Marina wakes in the garden and starts singing 'Where The Diamonds Grow'. Throughout the song Marina picks the diamond flowers. When the song ends, she gets up and starts walking towards the house again. She turns around and winks at the camera, flowers in hand. In the house, Marina puts the flowers in a vase then gets a beer from the fridge. She walks to the couch and turns on the TV. Marina crack opens the beer and the credits start rolling. 'Where The Diamonds Grow' plays throughout the credits.

Spotify Live Session
re mature audience as she's been promoting mainly on shows that target a older and more adult audience. Swift has been on almost every morning show this week, Michael & Kelly, Good Morning America, The Today Show, The View, The Talk and plenty of more. With those television promotional slots ale came radio slots as Taylor Swift along with Zendaya went on a radio promotional tour to promote their collaboration which has set fire to radio, breaking records and becoming one of the biggest multi-format radio hits this decade.
But it seems Swift has taken a break from the radio and television promotion to instead promote in other areas. The first area Taylor Swift and her label took advantage of was Spotify. At Spotify headquarters Swift had a live band a stage where she would perform a full set for the streaming service that has recently had great effect on the charts that incorporate streams into the formula for the charts now.
The first song Taylor sang for the set was 'Gunshots', where for the first time she performed the song alone. The stage set up very moody and dark, the screens displaying dark gray images as dark glass hearts (on iTunes UK) hung form the wall. Taylor wore a Lost Kats sweater (shown in the link below)that was customized to fit her along with a pair of Alexander Wang shorts with a pair of knee high boots. Swift's was straightened as she served a bit of a Rihanna fashion icon tea with the gangsta indie fashion she was serving.
The overall set was amazing as Taylor performed 6 out of the eight songs on her Coven 13 EP for the streaming service. The audio of the session was available on Spotify along with the video performances which was a first time thing for Spitify as no other artist has streamed a Spotify set before directly through Spotify.

Azealia on Dancing With the Stars
Tonight on Dancing With The Stars Azealia Banks appeared to perform her hit song at the moment, Vibes. With a television audience of 6 million viewers, the viewers were all glued to the TV to watch Azeali deliver this grand performance on the stage. Announced last week after her Jimmy Kimmel interview, the performance on DWTS has been talked about and hyped up since then and promotional spots have been airing at the top of each hour with clips of Azealia performing her songs Vibes, Free, and Dramatix.
For Azealia's performance Azealia wore a glamorous red gown with her hair tied up in a bun. The gown was complex with its layering and way it was laid out. With a matching red scarf and red ballerina shoes with matching red lips, Azealia did twirls and spins on stage as she sang Vibes live, missing no notes to her song. With a male dancer on stage, Azealia leaped into his arms as he lifted her as she sang Vibes' chorus to the top of her lungs with the crowd watching in aw. After the grand performance, Azealia received a rapturous wave of claps from the crowd. With a bow, the 5 minute ballet performance was over and the crowd was in love. Boosting Vibes' iTunes sales, the performance was a success and was immediately uploaded onto Azealia's VEVO account.

Azealia on Conan
Appearing on Conan tonight for an interview and to perform her song Vibes, Azealia Banks appeared on the TBS late night talk show. Before Azealia went on the show, #ABonConan was trending on Twitter for a total of four hours before the airing and a total of 3 hours afterwards. Commercials aired advertising Azealia's appearance on the show and also included clips from Azealia's remix video of her song Vibes. Azealia was the first guest on the show tonight and helped the show have 7 million viewers watch the program.
For Azealia's performance before the interview, Azealia did her song Vibes, the remix version done by Mike Will Made It. To the audience's surprise, Azealia had Mike Will Made It perform with her on stage and do his ad libs he does in the remix. During the performance of Vibes, Azealia wore cut off jean shorts with the ends cut to accentuate Azealia's curves. With a black tee repping Conan tied in the center to show off her stomach, Azealia completed the look with Nike's, wavy black extensions, and a plaid shirt tied around the waist. As Azealia bounced around, doing Yanis Marshall's choreography, the camera panned to the crowd grooving along to Azealia's music. After this great performance, the crowd gave a standing ovation to Azealia. After a quick commercial break, the show was back and it was time with an interview with Azealia. Read below for excerpts from Conan's interview with Azealia Banks:
Q: You just got your first number one. Your first one! Do you feel it's overdue?
A: Yeah I am so happy I got this number one and I do kind of feel like it is overdue. I mean I really worked my ass off with this song promoting it every ****ing where on the universe. I do feel it's overdue though in the sense that my previous work is also number one worthy. I just hope I can keep this up and that my next single will chart similarly.
- Q: Your album Reborn is just about to come out. Will we get any snippets of the album before release?
A: Yes my album Reborn is about to come out next week you guys! I am so excited about it and I hope my fans are too. Snippets though? Oh nah of course not. I want everything to be fresh and new to the ear. The only thing that won't be new is Vibes.
Q: So what about a promo single?
A: Oh a promo single will definitely drop with the album, yes of course. The name of that promo single? Well I'm not going to tell you that. However, I will tell you that the promo single will have a video and I think my fans will like it. Well, at least I hope they like it. It's a good song and good video. I'm pumped!
- Q: What was it like covering Vogue and Harper's Bazaar in the same week?
A: It was crazy. I felt like I was Naomi Campbell, like I WAS Kate Moss. I felt like a 90s fashion model superstar you know? It was so happy for me to cover the cover. You know? It was even crazier that I got to ship my song Vibes with the copies of the magazines. And all of my Bazaar is sold out! They're selling for thousands on eBay which is crazy! You know? Vogue is still selling and they're still making copies but Bazaar was limited and it's all gone! And that's all copies of Vibes sold for me so cha-ching!

Azealia Performs on Katie
Azealia Banks appeared on the latest episode of Katie, which is hosted by renowned reporter Katie Couric. On the episode Katie asked hard hitting questions about album release, delays, push forwards, and her past. With tears flooding, this captivating episode of Katie was not one to miss as it was filled with drama, details, and shocking news. Along with this, Azealia performed a slowed down version of her hit song Vibes. With all of this juicy info, Azealia's music all gained a drastic increase on iTunes, Vibes increasing the most. Along with all of this, Azealia's appearance brought Katie the most viewers she's had on her fairly new talk show, a whopping 7 million attendance watching Azealia talk to Ms. Couric.
For Azealia's performance, Azealia wore a large white sunhat spanning a grand 2 feet in diameter. Floppy and made of a shiny plastic/rubber material. Along with this, Azealia wore a sheer white blouse revealing a white lace bra underneath with high waisted pleated white suit pants with white Jimmy Choo heels. The entire ensemble, minus shoes and jewelry, was designed by the Valentino himself. With this all white ensemble Azealia was wearing, a white grand piano with a man in a suit of white with matching white sunglasses was sitting and playing as Azealia approaching the mic getting prepared to sing Vibes. Cooing the lyrics to the sex anthem, Azealia closed her eyes and let her hands do swaying movements to the sound of her own voice. Ending with the taking off of her hat and a bow, the crowd went wild with applause. After this amazingly captivating performance, it came time for Azealia to do an interview with Katie. Read below for highlights:
Q: Amazing performance, Azealia. Let's get into serious topics though. You recently talked about the type of home you grew up in. Tell us more about that. We have young girls here who have sent in letters about how they've gone through similar struggles.
A: Thank you. I loved performing up there. Well, my father died of pancreatic cancer when I was a young girl. Along with this, my mother struggled with alcohol addiction and I find that to be part of the blame as to why she treated me the way she did. It was a struggle but I managed to get past it. I want every girl out there to know that they can do more than they think they can. You just need to push yourself. Don't limit youself, ever.
- Q: You've released one album on this label, and another album off this label. You've only increased in the success of yours. Do you think this album will only be an increase in sales as opposed to others?
A: I think it will. I hope I will have the opportunity to fully promote this album to its potential. Domination, I wasn't able to promote it like I wanted to be able to because of issues with charting and etc. However, I think if all works out well I'll be able to give this album all the potential it has. At least I hope so.

"Smile" music video surprise release!

The hottest pop star of the moment Bonnie McKee has just dropped the music video for her latest single completely out of nowhere!
The Smile singer took to Instagram this morning and posted a brief snippet of the video with the caption "Surprise!" with a link to the full video on her VEVO YouTube channel.
The brand new video for Bonnie's latest hit features footage shot by her and her team when she was in Africa helping sick children earlier in the week, as well as scenes of Bonnie soaking up the sun in a bikini that leaves nothing to the imagination.
The risky video has already raked in half a million hits within its first hour of release and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Although a seemingly odd pairing, the combination of summer fun scenes and children in need is handled tastefully well, showing that Bonnie can be both naughty and nice. The song takes front and centre of course, showing how both situations can bring a smile to anyone's face.
In the final scene, Bonnie and all of her friends jump (or push each other) into the pool for a revolutionary pool choreography scene unlike any other in recent times. Bonnie also performs the dance on a sunny beach and by herself in Africa, which is edited all very well together to create one cohesive, epic performance.
Bonnie's latest hit "Smile" is sure to gain the attention of the young summer-loving crowd, as well as those who care about those in need. "Smile" is currently available on iTunes for purchase today.

Azealia Raises $25M At Charity Event
Azealia Banks has spoken out numerous times on her support and love for the gay community and just today her love for the gay community was exhibited greater than ever. With high caliber celebrities visiting Azealia's charity event located at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Banks managed to raise a whopping $25 million that will be used to educate gay youth and keep them off the streets and in school.
Teaming up with GLAAD for this event that's been in the works for weeks, Azealia Banks threw the event at the Dolby Theatre where tickets sold for $3 thousand and every dime was used to help the gay youth. With even more donations pouring in outside the purchase of tickets, the biggest donation of the night came from the one and only Morgan Freeman who donated 5 million dollars to the event. Along with the donations from celebrities, this event wasn't just a talking and sitting around party, Azealia made sure to put on a show for all the A listers in attendance. With people like Angelina Jolie and Cher watching, Azealia made sure to not disappoint with this performance.
For Azealia's performance at the event, she performed a mix of her biggest hits along with songs off her old album. To the audience's surprise, Azealia supposedly performed songs off th new album. However, due to the high security no videos were recorded of Azealia at this high class event. All outfits Azealia wore were all designed and hand stitched by Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana. Each song Azealia performed was performed with a piano accompanying in instrumental. Rumors are circulating that the event will be aired on NBC. Gift baskets were given to the guests which reportedly had copies of Vibes signed by Azealia as well as designer clothing by Valentino. The setlist for the event is below.

Mariah Carey on Live! Kelly & Michael
As for her performance, Mariah wore a tight black dress, shiny circular golden ear rings and a pair of black stilettos to match the black dress. She then started the performance by saying "Everybody here has their insecurities, learn to embrace them and face them.", as the intro of "Libidinous Dream" kick in. She danced the already infamous "X" dance choreography. The song then slowed down as the background starts to darken, with Mariah as the only focus, and as smoke starts to surround the stage, she started singing a heartfelt performance of "Disguise". She cried during the performance but yet she is still able to sing it clearly. She then started belting out the last chorus as the background singers backed her up with "I am in a disguise........" repeatedly. The crowd went wild as she bowed down saying "Thank you !!" She then later sat down for a short interview with Kelly and Michael.

MC: I'll be releasing it either later today or tomorrow. Can't wait to let you guys hear those remixes !!

Bonnie McKee heads to UK for single promotion

American pop star Bonnie McKee has decided to visit the UK in order to promote her newly released single, "Smile".
The singer, who has just recently released the epic video for her latest single, aims to gain the UK's support by giving a series of performances and interviews over the next couple of days.
The physical CD single of Bonnie McKee's hit has just hit UK stores today. It contains a live acoustic mix of the song, the music video and a special behind the scenes film pieced together from recordings Bonnie made whilst in Africa earlier in the week.
Smile currently sits at #18 on the official charts.
