People saying the days of Dr. Luke are done are wrong. Like Max Martin, Luke will continue to adapt and change. I know that sounds ironic, but if you compare three of his productions from different time periods... U + Ur Hand (2006), Party In The USA (2009) and Die Young (2012), they're all very different. Even today, he still puts out different material (Dark Horse, Birthday, Pills N Potions). Luke will be fine. Working with Luke doesn't guarantee a hit, of course, but it never really did in the first place. Luke is good at what he does. He's an ass and that but you can't take his talent away from the guy.
In saying that, I'm hoping that Luke's involvement in this record is far less than on her previous records. I won't be upset if he does contribute to it though, and as we've had no word from either of them about a split, I'd say that she's still firmly locked in with Kemosabe Records.
