KELLY CLARKSON SHOWCASES NEW SONGS ON FOX EXCLUSIVE

Kelly Clarkson is no stranger to the Fox network, having won the first season of American Idol. So it comes as no surprise that the station invited her back to perform a selection of hits from her upcoming studio album, Dark Hearse, which comes out next week.

The piece opened up with Kelly being interviewed by Simon Cowell and answering some candid questions about the other pop girls and what she thinks about them.

Simon: Kelly, you are absolutely brilliant and in my personal opinion, the most important singer to come from reality television.

Kelly: Thanks, Simon!

Simon: Yes, well the network asked me to ask you about some of your pop peers before you perform some exclusive tracks form your upcoming album, “Dark Hearse” I loathe the title. I think it is very cliché.

Kelly: Okay, Simon! [laughs]

Simon. Very well, let’s talk Rihanna.

Kelly: Oh. My. God. Are you freaking kidding me? Legend. Absolutely a bad ass. [laughs] Some of the other pop girls and I did a remix version of Juicy Cakes. It’s hot yo.

Simon: God, that bubbly persona is still there. Let’s talk Britney.

Kelly: You mean the industry legend? The one who became an overnight sensation with her debut single and has continued to be one hell of a performer? Yeah, I am fantarding over her still to this day. #girlcrush

Simon: You do realize that when you say hashtag girl crush it sounds predictable?

Kelly: Are you freaking kidding me? You know why X-Factor flopped.

Simon: On to Azealia Banks. I for one thought it was rather shocking she hit the top spot.

Kelly: Did you hear Vibes? Maybe the problem is you are out of touch with music? I dunno. Anyway, love her. Fashion beauty and her rhymes are just damn fire! Damn fire! Wait, let me write a song called Damn Fire. I mean back on topic, she appears on my single, “Dark Hearse” and she will be here live tonight. Boo Yeah!

Simon: Are you drunk? Speaking of drunks how are you coping with Dolly Parton?

Kelly: I’m scared to say anything about her. I’m waiting for her to randomly cap someone. I love you Dolly!

Simon: Kesha Rose?

Kelly: Kesha is a freaking amazing songwriter. Oh damn, I would love to write music with her. Her voice kills me. Love, love, love her!

Simon: Christina Aguilera?

Kelly: I’d love to have a sing off with her. Her voice is flawless. God, I was just jamming to her single in my car on the way over here. Are we going through all the pop girls?

Simon: Are you going to slam any of them?

Kelly: No.

Simon: Just perform.

With that, the set that Kelly and Simon were on was taken back to reveal a stage setup. Kelly climbed the steps and the stage turned, revealing 10,000 lucky fans who were waiting to hear the singer live. She opened the set with the title track to Dark Hearse. With lyrics comparing love to death, the chorus offered heavy rhymes by none other Azealia Banks, who also appears on the album, delivering a powerful performance.

“I’ve got another guest!” Kelly laughed after the song. “Gwen Stefani!”

The pair then showcased their upcoming duet for Kelly’s album called, “Come On! Come On!” Which was a club banger that left the crowd dancing and drenched in sweat.

“One more guest tonight!” Kelly shouted. “Iconic Pop Star Britney Spear!”

The pair then gave a performance of “Take You Down” from Britney’s upcoming album.

Kelly then closed out her special with, “You Don’t Need Me”.

Fans cheered hard for her and early numbers for the special suggests that viewers were 9.25 million with a 2.5 rating. Overall, everyone considers this to be a very successful event for Kelly. Taylor & Zendaya on 97.1 AMP Radio

Taylor Swift has been a staple on pop radio along with other formats for years now, scoring major radio number ones with singles like 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', 'You Belong With Me', 'Love Story', and recent singles like 'Swaorvski', 'Loving The Wrong Way', and 'Born Into Sin' which all became number ones for the country-pop superstar. Though those songs were radio hits none of them seemed to have taken off as quick and powerful as Swift's recent collaboration with singer-dancer Zendaya, called 'Gunshots'. The Mike Will Made It produced song has become one of the most spanned songs on the urban and rhythmic format, collecting over ten thousand spins and thirty million audience impressions in the first two days. This feat being done without a radio deal funded by the two labels. Tigerlily Recordings have expressed distaste for radio deals, stating that they'd rather a song "underperform" than pay it's way to the top spot. Urban and Rhythmic radio have not been the only formats playing the the urban/R&B song, formats such as HAC (Hot Adult Contemporary) and AC (Adult Contemporary) also picking up the song. The song looks to become multi-format radio hit as both digital and streaming are very high for the song currently. To secure promotion, Taylor and Zendaya have been embarking on a radio promotional tour where today they stopped by Los Angeles pop radio station 97.1 AMP Radio where they visited for about twenty minutes before leaving. The two were interviewed, both girls being very social and answering questions, occasionally even answering each other's by accident. The two later then performed the song acoustic, Taylor on guitar while the two sang the parts great, showing vocal growth from what the performances during their last era had to offer. The two girls were trending following the interview, 'Gunshots' occupying the leading position on iTunes.

Radio DJ: 'Gunhots' has taken off on radio, and has shown signs of becoming a multi-format radio hit. What's it like Zendaya to have your first radio hit and Taylor for you to have your first song entirely picked up by every radio panel?
Zendaya: It's unbelievable to me. I've imagined being on the radio before and it happened with Replay but I never really expected to have a song crack the airwaves like 'Gunshots' did. I've imagined often in my career about starting a music career. I remember I promised that I would be grateful if I ever got a number one single or a radio hit as I would be for the hits that would (maybe) follow. It's all feeling a bit surreal to me now."
Taylor: It's always going to be like that. Every time. I've had what six number ones now and I still break down and almost cry like it was my first. Anyway, I'm really pleased with the response radio has been giving the song. It's kind of odd that pop radio have been playing it so much since it's more R&B and Urban than pop. But both Zendaya and I are grateful for the support you've been giving the song.
Radio DJ: If there was a urban song out right now that you're jamming too what would it be?
Zendaya: I like usually keeping it old school. Like Aaliyah and such. But if there's anything I'm really loving right now it's Trey Songz new album 'Trigga'. It's a great album and he's just absolutely beautiful.
Taylor: I really love Tinashe's '2 On'. It's kind of my anthem, really. I've been taking lessons from Zendaya about how to dance without looking like such a white girl.
Radio DJ: Question for both you ladies. What's your favorite Aaliyah song?
Zendaya: I really love 'Are You That Somebody'. I'm a big fan of her entire discography.
Taylor: 'One In A Million' for sure.
Radio DJ: What's next for you girls. We understand you both have albums coming out, correct?
Taylor: I have a brand new EP out as most people know. I'll probably release one more single from that before I kind of wrap things up on my new album which I've been working on for a few months now. I'll probably release the first single from the album, continue the tour and such. I'm just currently really preparing things for the next album. I don't want it to be lackluster that's why I'm really perfecting it.
Zendaya: A Taylor Swift album and lackluster don't go together, duh. Me and Taylor are both kind of doing the same thing. I've been working on my sophomore album for a really long while now. It's mostly finished but I've just been in the studio almost twenty four seven trying to get everything right on it. This record has been my heart for the time I've been working on it and I'm just really making sure it's the best it can be before I share it with you.

REBA MCENTIRE MAKES LIVE APPEARANCE ON BIG BROTHER

The house guests were in for a shocker when Reba McEntire showed up at the door. Donny proclaimed his love for the singing sensation and gave her a big hug, which Reba returned with a laugh. No one had anticipated that the “Tears of Yesterday” singer would be with them.

Reba was there to host a singing competition where she would judge the members, in an attempt for Head Of Household. The group fought hard and some very talented vocalists were discovered from the group. But Donny ultimately won.

After the challenge was done, Reba performed a fiery live version of her latest single, “Tears of Yesterday” and then took off from the house. Afterwards the house guests and people at home couldn’t stop talking about the performance, giving Reba a win for the night.

Kelly Clarkson, the queen of product endorsements, has added Entenmann’s to her laundry list of sponsors. The pastry giant will feature Kelly’s image and her single cover on their boxes, with the slogan “You Don’t Need Me….But You Can Have Me”

Fans have already set out to pick up boxes of donuts to show their support. Kelly herself appeared at the Entenmann’s bakery and delivered a powerful performance of her current single, “You Don’t Need Me”. Filmed and placed on her VEVO account, the audience erupted in cheers as Kelly recreated the dark rainy season from the music video.

Overall, this promotional strategy is one that most agree is something that will help her sell singles. Taylor & Zendaya on InDemandUK

After spending much of her time around the world last week promoting a promotional single called 'Psycho', Taylor Swift was able to work and be able to be at home part of the week whilst promoting 'Gunshots', a urban fueled track that Swift features on for R&B Princess Zendaya. The remix came about quite oddly, there being no cash involved as Zendaya had not even intended for Taylor Swift to be on the song. In fact we were told by sources at Republic Records that there wasn't even a official remix in the works. It wasn't until Taylor Swift and Tigerlily Recordings approached Republic Records and Zendaya that the remix came about. "Taylor fell in love with the song. I remember I was on my way to a recording session in Manhattan when I got the call from Republic Records, my label. They said Taylor Swift really loves your single and would love to go in the studio with you and put her own take on it. I thought at first she wanted to cover it and I was like "Sure". I have no idea how I managed to ask if it was a cover because I don't know, Taylor's huge and I'm still kind of a rising star. But yeah, we went in the studio and recorded her parts and some new vocals for the song with Mike Will. It was magical. I think Taylor has some of the session filmed on her iPhone." Zendaya told the listeners in her interview with InDemandUK where Taylor Swift joined her for an interview and live studio performance of 'Gunshots' which could very well be the brand new UK #1 come Sunday as it was #2 in the midweeks, behind by less than 200 copies. The live studio performance of 'Gunshots' was absolutely stunning, the two girls performing the song in a more slowed down and BANKS like arrangement, giving the song a bit more emotion and bass than both the remix and originally have. Their interview was short and sweet, the girls getting their main points across before they were off to do more promotion for their collaboration.

Host: You girls are both familiar with the UK I'm sure?
Zendaya: I mean I've been here a few times for pleasure purposes only. Like vacations and stuff but I never really went here for business before.
Taylor: I've been here thousands of times so I've been kind of showing her all the hot spots. Where all the cute boys are and all that jazz.
Host: Speaking of boys are there any in your lives?
Zendaya: I've been bad as of late with boys so I kind of shut them out to focus on more important things in my life like my album.
Taylor: There's a guy in my life you could say. But you know I think I'm going to keep this relationship more private than I did with my last one. Sometimes the media just makes everything sort of blow out of proportion.
Host: So Gunshots has really taken off in the UK. Even without the music. How do you feel about the performance of the song here well should I say all over the world as it's pretty much slaying everywhere
Zendaya: It's crazy. You know I've always cared more about the quality of music I make rather than the number of records I sell but I'm really glad this song in particular is getting such an amazing response. I'm thankful Taylor came in and helped me with it, making a new and improved version of it too.
Taylor: Aw, I love you.
Host: Do you two see you both collaborating again in the near future?
Taylor: Oh definitely.

Britney Spears on MuchMusic in Canada, hosts Much Countdown

Britney stopped by MuchMusic in Canada (the most popular television channel in Canada for music news) today for a two hour special, counting down this weeks hottest videos while performing and interacting with her Canadian fans. Britney played a game of spin the wheel which landed on a singer she had to impersonate. Britney was very good at impersonating Katy Perry, Rihanna, Madonna, Kelly, and Mariah. She also helped countdown the hottest videos in Canada with the top 2 videos being Juicy Cakes at #2 and no surprise, Gimme Your Best at #1. It’s currently the most talked about video in Canada due to the orgy scene making media waves. Britney mentioned that it really wasn’t a big deal and that she didn’t think it would create such a huge buzz but that she wouldn’t change the video for anything, she wants to promote acceptance. Britney also talked with fans directly about her upcoming music and tour, and promised that she would come to Canada with her tour. Britney signed autographs for her fans throughout the show and several fans stepped forward to sing some of Britney’s biggest hits. She also gave a fan a 21 year old fan a “britney makeover” during the commercial break and sang Oops!… I Did It Again with her after the fan resembled Britney in the Oops video. She then got interviewed on her relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo and stated that he was super sweet and that they are thinking about moving in with one another. She also let fans compete for an exclusive special edition of her upcoming album in a dance off and got involved herself. Spears had a fun time and it was one of the best episodes of Much Countdown in recent history, she then proceeded to end off the night with a performance.

Britney performed an up-beat mix of Deranged and Gimme Your Best. She had a lot of dancers on a decent sized stage and gave it her all dance-wise. Smoke surrounded the stage for much of the performance as Britney moved around the stage and even jumped off to interact with the fans. Her vocals were on point and she got fans involved in the performance. She brought the female fans on stage and they helped push the male dancers off stage during the chorus of Gimme Your Best. She let the fans dance with them to the final dance break as best as they could. The performance ended with Britney being attached to two cables singing the final lines of Gimme Your Best acapella while being pulled up and off stage.
