I guess Nicki said that because no one is giving her any amount of credit, I mean like her or not, before she came female rap is not that prominent anymore. She had to compete with these male rappers and gain notoriety so female rap would be brought back again to the public and now all of a sudden Iggy came and all these websites esp. those publications who is kissing Iggy's as* because she on the top of the charts, are suddenly making it seem like Iggy brought back female rap(no shade i love both women). To be honest I never really caught the shade towards Iggy. I just saw it as shade towards every female rapper who fails to write her own stuff, which is more than just Iggy.

What other female rappers is she talking about though. What other relevant rappers are there? Angel Haze? Clearly writes her own material. Eve? Charli Baltimore? Sorry but why would she be talking to them? They're not even her peers, there people she probably looks up to and takes reference from like Lauryn Hill.
