Well the songs that came out in 2012 were made in 2011, so I said that year. But I get what you're saying.
This production is definitely not current though. Sorry but just because this song lacks breakdowns doesn't mean it's brilliant. It is a reductive song that doesn't let her be unique. She'll never get to superstar status if she doesn't take steps towards the future and not the safety of songs like this. She doesn't have to pull a full Miley but at least musically she should. Who expected Miley's first big hit that really distanced her from Hannah Montanna would sound like We Can't Stop? Problem did the job perfectly. It sounds like no one at all and was much more of a risk than this.
