Billboard, Pitchfork, MTV, Rolling Stone, SPIN, NY Daily News, Miss Info, Gawker, and Consequence of Sound.
Nicki winning and her speech appear to be the biggest things to happen that night and the highlight... Bey and Jay seem to have the most disappointing performance. They didn't do bad obviously, but everyone had really high expectations... only to get a pre-recorded performance. Regardless, had she won or loss... The female hip-hop artist segment was bound to be the most talked about event of the night.
She got really good press from all of this and the blogs posting her tweets is a really nice sign to me. They were pretty receptive and not all that shady... A number of blogs shaded Iggy down though.

"Urban"/rap blogs are finally picking up on it. Miss Info actually posted hers while I was compiling them. Rap Radar has published an article and so has Hip-Hop DX. Rap Radar's blurb is really nice considering they can be really shady and love to do one sentence drags:

Such a beautiful picture! There was one like that for one of her other "Best Hip-Hop (or Rap) Artist" awards... I can't find it on my laptop nor on Google though. It was just as cool.

Speaking of awards, are you guys positive that Nicki will sweep VMAs, AMAs, and EMAs rap categories again? If she's nominated, she most likely will win. Starships won against, Rih, Bey, Katy, etc. so other hip hop artists shouldn't be a problem.
I know Starships was big at that time, but still.

Trey has 3 top 40 hits in the UK from 5 albums, and they were all singles upon release. For just an album track to be charting at #33 on iTunes for no other reason besides it just being so is surprising.
