Zendaya & Taylor perform on 106 & Park
Right after Zendaya visited BET's 106 & Park a few weeks ago, she decided to drop by the show yet once again, and the show's producers welcomed her with hugs, probably because Coleman is already one of their favorite new artists at the moment. However, Zendaya didn't come to the studios to shoot her appearances completely alone, no no - Taylor Swift joined her! And that is because Zendaya and Taylor both have a collaborative single, titled "Gunshots", out at the moment, and they've been promoting it for the past few days all around the places. First, both girls sat down with the hosts to talk about everything that has been going on with those two girls. All of them had pretty long interview, but both Zendaya and Taylor answered all of the questions honestly by spilling all of the tea. Later, after they've been interview, both of the girls went on stage to perform their single, "Gunshots". Their performance, just as always, included heavy choreography, as the duo danced, sang and just had fun together on the stage. After the performance, they walked over to the audience to interect with all of the fans - they took pictures with them, signed their autographs and just talked with them.
Hosts: 106 & Park, please welcome, Zendaya and Taylor Swift! Zendaya, you're now for the fifth time on our show, and the last time you visited us was about few weeks ago, when you first released your new single "Gunshots". Now, you're back once again, and this time, you decided to bring someone, who isn't a constant guest on our show - country pop singer Taylor Swift! Can you literally explain what happened since the last time you visited our show?
Zendaya: Well basically, the last time I was here, I was here to promote my solo single "Gunshots", but then I met Taylor Swift in the studio, who became a good friend of mine while we were recording this collaboration, and I offered her to collaborate with me on this track. And, shockingly... she agreed! It's a little bit unexpected to hear a country pop singer on an urban track, but we decided to take the risk and I definitely think we succeeded. This new version of "Gunshots" is actually surprisingly good, and I personally love it. It just more... interesting, you know? And, I think people were rushing to download a copy of this from iTunes that moment when it was released because they were interested and intrigued, like, I bet they were thinking: "What? Taylor Swift and Zendaya? Zendaya and Taylor Swift? That's something new, I want to hear it!". And of course, both of us worked really hard on this, we made it as good as possible, we came up with this song in a very short period of time, but it's definitely great, at least that's what I think.
Hosts: So we have heard that your new album is coming out shortly after, Zendaya. When is it coming out? When we are going to get more information about this whole release?
Zendaya: Well yeah, my new album's coming out in a few weeks, probably mid July, so stay tuned for that, because I have a lot of exciting surprises for you all. But yeah, basically, the album's more focused on urban and rhythmic sounds, I have a lot of amazing collaborations on that album, I'm actually pretty surprised I had a chance to collaborate with really known artists like T.I., French Montana, A$AP Rocky. I'm really excited for everyone to hear the song that I did with this girl Pia Mia, who will be releasing her own single sometime soon, as well, it's really good and exciting. The date is almost set already, I think, but I can't announce it yet, although I'll be releasing a statement about everything next week, so keep an eye for that announcement.
Hosts: What are your current plans?
Zendaya: At the moment, my main priority is our single, "Gunshots". We will be promoting it this week and probably a little bit next week, but I'm not sure about the next week's promotion yet, so I have literally nothing to say about that, because it depends on how the single will do this week, you know. After this single, I will be releasing my sophomore album, and then I'm going to focus on the album for few weeks. I hope I'll be able to tour sometime this year as well, because I've never been on a normal tour, I've only been doing some little performances here and there over the past few years, but not a real tour, which kind of sucks. So, I'm looking forward to tour. And of course, I'll release some more singles from this album, I'll try to finish the era on a high note, and then I'll probably start writing for the next album.

Mariah Carey on Good Morning America
Mariah Carey made an appearance on Good Morning America today hours before the official release of the latest album, The Stygian Chevalier. The original chanteuse was not seen during the rehearsal and when the show finally began, Mariah was not to be seen or found. People were getting impatient over Mariah's lateness when it was revealed that Mariah is disguised as a spectator among the crowd.
The intro of "Libidinous Dream" started playing as she revealed herself to be in the middle of the crowd. She wore a black coat for the performance. She then yelled: " I need a few volunteers to carry me towards the stage !!" She then chose a lucky few as they carried her up to the stage.

After Mariah is on stage safely, the performance officially began as smoke and dancers start to appear out from nowhere. "Are you ready for the iconic 'X' dance moves ?!" The crowd obviously went wild as Mariah executes the dance moves perfectly. The whistle notes were not pitchy compared to her last appearance, where she performed her hit single "#Beautiful". The audio experienced glitches which made her whistle notes go pitchy. But Mariah has ensure it'll never happen as she confidently belted.
After the performance, Mariah sat down with the interviewer to answer a few questions:
Quote:
Q: Glad to have you here on the show Mariah !! May we know when the music video for "Libidinous Dream", which you teased a few days ago will be finished ?
MC: It'll be finished in the next few days. We're making sure the storyline of the music video makes sense before releasing it.
Q: What's your most personal song on the album ??
MC: It has to be "Disguise" for me. I've been through a lot and I feel that this song is even more 'gloomy' compared to "Looking In". Another one would be "I'm Not Done" which will be featured on the Stand Up To Cancer commercial soon.
Q: Last question, will there be a Glitter Movie Part II ??
MC: I hope so. But I'll make sure this time it'll be a success if it's going to happen.
Host: Ok thank you Mariah for being on Good Morning America !! Please buy Mariah's lead single "Libidinous Dream" and her album which is going to be release in the next few hours.
|
Please Buy "Libidinous Dream" and pre-order "The Stygian Chevalier" on iTunes now !!

Zendaya & Taylor visit TRL (Live Exclusive Performance)
Two of the most talented ladies in pop music have been hard at work these past few days. From global promotion to recording sessions that don't end until after midnight, to catching flights at three in the morning, Zendaya and Taylor Swift have done it all. The two were live on Good Morning America this morning promoting the brand new version of Zendaya's sophomore album's lead single 'Gunshots' where the girls gave a excellent performance where both girls sounded amazing, never falling off tempo or pitch. They stayed after the performance where the hosts interview them about their upcoming works, like Zendaya's sophomore album and Taylor's brand new EP, "Coven 13: The EP" which was released Monday as a gift to her fans. The EP has since then occupied the top spot on iTunes in the USA since. Zendaya's sophomore album has since then caused great buzz, trending on twitter whenever there was information revealed about it. After their promotion on Good Morning America, along with some interviews with other shows and such, the girls visited TRL where they also performed and gave an interview. The TRL performance of 'Gunshots' was a true treat as the girl sang a special acoustic version of the song, Swift on guitar as they both served vocals. Taylor's hair was slicked back as she wore a blouse with some printed pants. Zendaya was styled similarly, her slicked back, wearing a white blouse and black pants with some jimmy choo heels. The girls did some extra ad-libs and vocalizations, their voices meshing very well with one another's. Prior to the performance, Zendaya and Taylor were interviewed about the song, along with their upcoming projects (albums, tours, etc)
Host: That was an amazing and beautiful performance. The audience might not know this but Zendaya and Taylor literally just got here right before the performance. There was no rehearsal.
Zendaya: Yeah, we really didn't have the time to rehearse. We did do some warmups in the car over here but that's it.
Taylor: We were on Good Morning America this morning and of course we rehearsed there but we performed the original arrangement of the song. After that we were sent to promotional hell, which is what I call when you give like 30 interviews within an two hours. After that we were styled to come here and that's it. That performance was just me picking up my guitar and us just singing it. It's nerve-wracking to do but it's not the first time for me.
Host: 'Gunshots' is a song that has taken over Pop and Rhythmic airwaves. We understand Zendaya that this has become almost a breakthrough single for you.
Zendaya: The song is a song I'm very proud of. I worked hard on it and you know I wasn't expecting major success with it but I'm very blessed and thankful for all the support it's been given. I'm thankful for Taylor deciding to be on the song too.
Host: What made you want to be on the song, Taylor?
Taylor: 'Gunshots' is a song that I feel almost anyone, no matter what gender, can relate too. You know we've all been sort of put down by someone and you know when we decide we've had enough, we get up and reclaim what's ours. Your strength. I feel like it's just a song that I connected really well with. Plus, it was the incredibly talented Zendaya. How could I not ask to be on it?
Host: Taylor you actually released your EP, 'Coven 13: The EP' Monday and it's been #1 on USA iTunes ever since. Tell us a little about that.
Taylor: 'Coven 13: The EP' consists of the new songs I recorded that would be on the rerelease of Coven 13. You know I had second thoughts about rereleasing the entire album because I feel like rereleasing songs you've already released before but with a new song or two is a rip off. So I decided what the hell, I'm going to move on to the next record. But I didn't want to do that without releasing the new songs I recorded. I'm really proud of them and I wanted them to see the light of day.
Host: Your Electric Princess tour starts really soon. What can we expect?
Taylor: A show full of visuals, lights, you know all that. The tour will be a little more raw than what many are expecting. The production will be big but not as big as it was with the last tour. I wanted this tour mostly to show growth of me as a performer.
Host: Alright girls, when can we expect the video for 'Gunshots'?
Taylor: Well…
Zendaya: You expect the video Friday
Taylor: But the video you're gonna get you will not be expecting.

Zendaya & Taylor perform on The Today Show
After appearing on couple of TV shows today, two singers - who are responsible for one of the hottest songs in the country at the moment - Zendaya and Taylor Swift, continue promoting their collaborative single "Gunshots" by stopping by The Today Show studios. The duo dropped by Today Show to perform their new song, and they also gave an exclusive interview shortly after that. On the stage, Zendaya and Taylor were completely alone, without a live band or dancers to help them out with this performance. Taylor had an acoustic guitar with herself, which basically meant that the girls will be performing an acoustic version of "Gunshots". Both of them did an excellent job, since they were able to focus more on their vocals on voices, who perfectly matched each other and meshed up, and Taylor didn't overshadow Zendaya's voice, even if her voice is a little bit weaker and softer than Taylor's. Both of them were wearing beautiful summery outfits, and both of them looked really gorgeous up on that stage. Once they performed the song, show's hosts came up and joined the girls on stage to interview them about everything that's going on in their lifes.
Host: Wow, what an excellent performance! This is definitely a perfect way to start a morning. Hello Taylor, hello Zendaya, thank you both for joining us today and performing for our audience, it's a pleasure to have you on our show! So your new single, which you just performed, titled "Gunshots", caused some major buzz on the internet, and people are starting to predict huge things for this song. Besides that, it's rising on iTunes charts really fast. Did any of you think "Gunshots" will end up being this big?
Zendaya: I honestly thought about that, I thought that this might end up being my breakout single, you know? When you have Taylor Swift on the track, you sure know that song will end up being somehow at least a moderate hit. This girl, who is standing next to me, is seriously huge, and I'm super thankful that she agreed to collaborate with me and help me breakout as a singer, since, basically, I was strugginling with my own material before.
Taylor: Yes, definitely, that's why I agreed to be on this track. It has that something, you know, that something that basically tells you this song will end up being a hit somehow. I don't know if I'm the only one who has this ability to tell which songs will most likely end up being hits, and which won't, but yeah, when I heard "Gunshots", I instantly though "wow, this is some serious hit material." But of course, it also depends on how you market your song, how you promote it, how you serve it, and since we're both very hardworking girls, we want everything to be perfectly done, we go and promote it as much as possible.
Host: Speaking of promotion, you girls have very busy schedules!
Zendaya: Yes, and thank you for noticing that! Both of us, Taylor and I, we have crazy schedules and I have no idea how we still manage to stand on our feet. This week is seriously crazy, because everyday is like that - TV performance, a lot of interviews for various websites and music blogs and YouTube channels and what not, we change our outfits, we go out to pose for photographers, we do couple of photoshoots, sometimes we perform at a festival, and then we do everything from the start once again. And we do this routine like, five or even more times a day. And Taylor has to promote her own EP, "Coven 13", as well, so that's extra for her. And literally during nights I try to finish up my own sophomore album, which is coming sometime within next few weeks. Everything's been crazy, but you know, as long as you work hard and you go out there with your chin up high, everything pays off eventually.
Host: Besides promoting your collaborative single "Gunshots", what else you girls are doing?
Taylor: I just released my new EP, called "Coven 13", so I have to promote "Gunshots" AND "Coven 13", which is extra work for me, but besides promoting the material I'm not working that much at the moment, because everything's out, the single is out, the EP is out, and all I have to do now is promote everything. And I'm actually happy, because I can sleep for some time at night, while Zendaya locks herself up in the studio at night and records stuff for her upcoming album. According to her, her album is finished, but she still goes to the studio to try and make everything more perfect. I guess that's one of the things that we have in common together - we are literally perfectionists.
Host: When can we expect "Gunshots" music video? Can you tell us what should we expect?
Zendaya: I guess it will be out on Friday. And no, we can't tell you what you can expect, because we basically don't want to ruin the surprise. The video is huge, and you will be shocked. When I saw the final version few days ago, I was schocked, and I knew exactly what was going to happen in the video, but I was still really, like, really shocked. The video will premiere on VEVO on Friday.

Kyle -- Darker the Better
Your new single, 'Circles' has already debuted in the Top 5. How do you feel about this?
I feel really great, it's amazing to see how far I've come and to still be with the likes of many successful artists in the chart, it is really flattering.
With a hot single, comes an upcoming album. Can you tell us details on your upcoming album?
The album is really different from anything I've done, it's defiantly something that will hopefully get your attention because it's that different. I love reinventing myself and I got to do that with this new record, I sort of channeled a new alter-ego of mine that you will see in music videos and such.
Any goals you plan to achieve this era?
I only plan to satisfy my fans with the music I will share with them.
Do you have a theme for this era? Example: Miley's newest album leans towards an Urban glorified theme, and Taylor Swift's upcoming album touches a darker image.
Yes, the album will be dark-pop, if that's a thing. It's really mysterious and dark yet personal, it has all the factors to be a great pop album in my opinion but it still glows from that dark risky touch that's been missing in the mainstream music industry this past few years.
Lana -- Small Start, Big To Come
Your new single, 'Champagne Glasses' debuted in the Top 15; do you have any positive or negative feelings towards this?
I Thought that my single did better, but there are amazing singles that stood out in the Charts, I Performed in many Festivals and shows including " iTunes Festival, Strictly Come Dancing, And The World Cup and much more".
We've heard you're working on a new album. Would you like to spill us some scoops?
I Have an album coming out in July 5th, "The Royal Empire", It Has Three Versions "Normal,Deluxe & Target", And The Worldwide Release Is July 10th, The Pre-Orders are now out!
Have you decided a 2nd single for the future? Could we know the name yet?
It's Coming Out in the 1st Of July, It's Called "Flaming Love (Feat. Christina Aguilera)
It's 3:48 Long, Produced By Greg Kurstin and more to be revealed.
Are you doing anything juicy with other artists?
I Have A Song With Beyoncé, It's coming out in the album very soon
No overall albums, singles, and artist chart until next week since we only have 1 chart!
