It might be pure pop, but Max Martin produced Problem and Dark Horse lately which are urban radio hits, and also Jessie J does urban-style songs sometimes (the lead singles from both her 1st album and her 2nd album, Do It Like a Dude and Wild were both urban-leaning, so maybe she'll continue this pattern for the 3rd album), not to mention the featured artists suggest it's more urban. If it was pure pop I think she'd have featured Pitbull, David Guetta, Lady Gaga or people like that, rather than Ariana and Nicki.

Ultimately, none of us will know until we hear it. It could go either way.

after PNP they need a single out in August. i understand that people think the singles are a good supplement but if she is releasing in September-November then an August release with a VMA performance would be dope.

Now if she IS waiting until December 8, 2014 as I pointed the possibility after it was clear June/May releases were not happening then I would say wait until September but keep in mind she will be in the UK in September so she should probably have the single out and ready to perform by the time she is over there. Aren't singles released later in the UK.
So she can perform PNP and the new single then.

By releasing it the 4th week of November all of her sales will count under one Billboard year so
November 24th is the best bet.

After PNP underperformed it's time to get the hits with Trey, No love remix, no flex zone or whatever, Bang bang, her 2nd single, the lil wayne feature and the wiz feature.

It's either November 24th or December 8th and both dates provide more than enough time for hype for the album.
I"m sure she will still perform PnP in September when she's over in the UK.

She made a statement with the single and now she has Bang Bang coming + a pile of features + a more "hard" sounding second (third? since BB has her credited as the main?).

Exactly but i see all those being hits more on urban and rhythmic and has Nicki ever had a number one on Pop right?...If not I Believe she has a huge chance with Bang Bang!

Some of us do support Wayne (in our own ways, I suppose... I do stream a song or two from him via Spotify every now and then and I almost always watch his new music videos on Youtube), but Nicki has such a different fanbase from him and Drake too. There is quite a bit of overlap though among their fans, but they really cater to different audiences so it isn't surprising that most Nicki stans only support Wayne when they have a single with them on it and vice versa.

Well, it's not like Nicki's really picky when it comes to features. I think the song will do well since it's also on Ariana's album, but I have to hear it to see if I like it.

Oh well, like I've been saying, it seems like Nicki has planned this for the most part (obv. not pop radio paying this dust).

The way I'm seeing it... She teased us with rap heavy buzz tracks and then she released a first single that could crossover (PnP) but, even if it doesn't/(continues not to), Bang Bang will shortly follow it along with a ton of features which could help give PnP a slight boost on pop radio. (See: Fancy/Boom Clap and soon to be Black Widow/I Will Never Let You Down).

Noted, almost all of the features minus Bang Bang are with urban/rap artists so I wonder if she thought urban radio would be paying PnP dust not pop radio.

Also, if Bang Bang smashes, IMO, she'll have the same hype around her for the second (third?) single as she did for her first.
