Devin didn't hear about the final two deal from anyone but Caleb, so he's just going off of what Caleb said. As someone who knows that Amber has been trashing Caleb, Devin's first reaction to hearing that from his "friend" Caleb should be to tell him that Amber is playing him and has been trashing him. I do not see how Devin can be wrong for that.
Devin can be a little messy, but definitely not as messy as some of these other cast members. I will keep him in my prayers though, because the cast + America does have it out for him. Persevere!
