Sick that this was dragged up and she had to defend herself in such a manner. Well, YG did it for her, but still... Whoever dug this up will feel YG's wrath. He's like a father to his artists. He's amazing. I stan for him and Bom is a queen
I'm so emotional. Hope the good sis is OK

Article: Yang Hyun Suk clarifies Park Bom's accusations of smuggling drugs, "She did not realize they were banned drugs"
Source: Star News via Nate
1. [+505, -128] Forget all the pathetic excuses, what kind of doctor in his right mind would prescribe over 80 pills of a drug? If it was a lawful prescription, why would she have it delivered to a relative's house under someone else's name? Why isn't this being clarified? He's trying to gain sympathy where it doesn't count...
2. [+395, -66] If she came to Korea, she should've treated her illness in Korea without the use of illegal drugs in Korea. America cannot prescribe drugs to a patient not in America and have a relative send it to them to Korea. This is not some 'over the counter' drug, it's a neuroleptic. No way they'd prescribe it without a patient. That doctor should be jailed if so.
3. [+173, -38] So why did she have it delivered to a relative's house in Incheon to someone else's name instead of her own home in Apgujungdong? And 82 pills at that?
-

1. [+518, -95] Gun ownership is legal in America. But smuggling them into Korea is illegal. This is exactly the same case. Even if she was prescribed those drugs legally in America, smuggling them into Korea is punishable by law. The law should not be going easier on her because she's a celebrity.
2. [+491, -86] Shows how much power YG has when a Samsung marketing head was jailed for the exact same case (article link).
3. [+489, -93] YG talked **** even during G-Dragon's scandal. Even fans won't believe these pathetic shields.
-

1. [+115, -22] Wow, shameless... He's actually saying she's never been to clubs and has never even smoked as an excuse? So will 2NE1 be over if I mention how hard 2NE1 killed it at the VIP room in a Bangkok club in February last year? Amazing~~
2. [+104, -14] The same pathetic excuses were used for G-Dragon, I can't believe how fans are believing the same laughable excuse.
3. [+101, -20] Then if what Yang CEO is saying is right, where she belongs is the mental institution, not the stage... why does he keep putting her up on stage?
-
Source: Naver
1. [+4,043, -1,180] Can I take a moment to laugh at YG actually saying that Bom has personally never even been to the club as an excuse kkkkkkkkk
2. [+4,179, -1,585] Then I guess the other case of the man jailed for the same case means he was just a fool
3. [+2,591, -597] (Article summary of a Samsung employee being jailed for the same thing)
4. [+2,385, -588] Then any explanation on why she had it delivered to a different address under a different name??
5. [+1,160, -307] YG's the god of media play ^^ He's obviously trying to sweep this under the rug again. It's just hard for me to believe him.
-
Source: Naver
1. [+1,596, -260] I personally don't care whether Park Bom smuggled drugs or not, I'm more curious as to why this is being brought up when it was buried four years ago
2. [+1,044, -548] Find strength. Doesn't feel right hating on her considering what we now know about her personal background. Just that the media is trying to push this into a negative light like journalists always do.. --
3. [+874, -449] YG's power jjang! Korea's law is dead.
4. [+1,075, -688] So many pathetic excuses. So she took the drugs under a different address and name?
5. [+837, -576] They have no excuses to use that they have to resort to a friend who passed away in her youth. tsk tsk.
Netizens showing their compassion as usual...

Wow @ the Bom drama. It's very deep and she clearly has her own issues to deal with. She needs a break from the scene imo. Get some rest, continue some therapy, lay low a bit. That would seem to be the best thing to do.

Sooooo someone correct me if I'm wrong but basically Bom had the drugs because of a mental issue and was prescribed them? Then 4 years ago she found out they were illegal in Korea, and then switched to another drug that was allowed in Korea?

Don't forget that the drug was only criminalized in 2010/2011 (I'm not sure) and YG says she didn't know about it until that incident happened, and then she switched. So there wasn't really any criminal intent, if all is as it seems to be.

That changes EVERYTHING. It's not like she was smuggling heroin into the country! Or a gun with intent to harm people like that one netizen said. Absolute idiots. Linking medication to weapons... SMH
I really am not giving netizens any power though. I expect 0 sense from them and all they say is usually only intensified garbage that people wouldn't say in person

Thank you. It's hard reading through YG's long-winded **** sometimes
So in the end it seems like a whole bunch of meltdowns over nothing?
