Haha... I put Gwen on there because I took an actual Afrojack instrumental and put an old Gwen track on it and it sounded amazing + I added a drop and it sounded quite good so i made "Burn" after I released Our Night the promo single to get my record label out there

As an attempt to conform to modern technology and society, Britney has decided to promote through a media platform used by much of the younger generation, her target demographic with "Gimme Your Best". Tumblr was designed as a different format than most blogging sites, promoting short, to-the-point blogs over long form content. It also allows users to share posts, photos, quotes, links, music and videos as well as customize all aspects of their blogs. Tumblr also functions much like social media, in that users can re-share other bloggers' posts, allowing popular content to go "viral." It is a popular microblogging platform designed for creative self-expression and a mindful alternative to other social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Tumblr blogging categories include sports, art, illustration, design, fashion, politics, literature, music, landscaping, film, vintage items, architecture, food, comics and gaming, to name a few. Bloggers can easily design these blogs themselves and customized them to reflect their personalities.

Tumblr has an average of 40 to 60 million users logging on each day, as one of the most used networks of social media, it has been used as a promotional platform for many companies. Britney Spears is one of the first pop stars to promote her music on tumblr, in an interesting sponsorship, Britney's single cover for "Gimme Your Best" along with a link to the song on iTunes will be featured on the first position of everyone's dashboards for the next two to three days. Unlike other promotional campaigns, Britney's picture/link will not drop from the top spot on your dashboard, it will remain there until the sponsorship deal ends in two to three days. This means that we can expect over 100-200 million unique tumblr users to see Britney's advertisement on Tumblr. A picture of the cover is also featured on the Tumblr-Radar and will remain there for the next few days.

Britney's promotional campaign for "Gimme Your Best" seems to be her biggest yet, this is just the beginning and Spears plans to be everywhere this week with her lead single. A force to be reckoned with, Spears debuted at #4 on the charts last week with 349,000 copies sold for her promotional single: Deranged. Spears is already increasing her promotion range with radio deals and tumblr sponsorships in order to make her way to a top 3 position with more sales for her lead single. If her buzz single did so well, it wont be a surprise when Gimme Your Best makes a very strong debut on the charts this week.

Gwen and Pharrell Perform With Hologram Miley on Rising Star

It seems like ABC's Rising Star is the new go-to show today for artists to perform their songs. Just tonight, Gwen Stefani graced the stage with her long-time friend Pharrell and a hologram Miley Cyrus to perform their new single Hula Hoop. The performance began with Gwen Stefani coming down the stage from a giant hula hoop from the roof. The music starts and Pharrell joins her. The two run and walk around the stage in order to not make the performance boring. After the single flopped last week, #GENETIQUEMUSIQUE couldn't afford to give them backup dancers. It seems that all the budget was used to pay for the expensive hologram Miley that they had for the performance. Hologram Miley rapped her verse like a bad bitch and smoked hologram weed. The performance ended with Pharrell throwing his bigass hat to the crowd.

KELLY CLARKSON APPEARS ON FOOD NETWORK

Kelly Clarkson recently appeared on Trisha Yearwood’s Food Network cooking show to teach Trisha how to make a salad. Fans of Trisha Yearwood have warmly embraced the 90s singer’s venture into cooking, while secretly looking forward to the musical performances each week.

After showing Trisha how she makes a garden salad, both Trisha and Kelly began to do a duet version of Kelly’s new single, “You Don’t Need Me”. The pair decided to do a smoky jazz version that fans took an immediate liking to, some even hoped it would show up on iTunes at some point. However, only the original solo version is available right now.

The duo then switched over to do a performance of a new song called, “Venom in my Veins” another track that will appear on the upcoming album, “Dark Hearse”. The song has a strong country vibe and the pair announced it would be an actual collaboration since they have already recorded it in the studio. However, it is not planned to be a single at this point.

Mariah Carey on Killer Karaoke

Mariah Carey surprised audiences in the studio when the host welcomed Mariah out. She was then placed in a tank filled with snakes and the host asked her to sing "Libidinous Dream" which is the lead single for her upcoming album, "The Stygian Chevalier".

She then started to sing the song as the snakes start to swim closer to her legs. She screamed elegantly a few times AKA hitting some impossible whistle register throughout the whole song. She even improvise the song by adding some impromptu lyrics. By the end of the song, the audience were cheering and going wild.

The TV attracted 6.5 million viewers that night which became the most watched episode for Killer Karaoke. If you haven't got "Libidinous Dream", do buy it on iTunes now.
