Africans were brutally destroyed by European colonialism. Pretty upsetting.
Not just Africans Literally everyone.
I mean, The native Indigenous people barely even exist anymore And the ones that do were run off into little sections and are treated horribly till this day. Especially Indigenous Australians
It pretty much ruined any potential stability in the region.

And Europe already went through its "Africa" era: the Middle Ages from about 500-1500 or so. Remember the Plague? the Hundred Years War? the Inquisition? A bunch of animals unable to govern themselves. Yeah... ironically during that time the Middle East was the center of learning worldwide (ie. the Library of Alexandria). Then Islam happened.
