BoB thought on The Leftovers???

The pilot was promising but it was so messy in parts, dear lord. And not messy good. Ofc it's hard to judge on a pilot alone but I'd give it 7/10. It's incredibly thrilling but the they tackle some themes very heavy handed. The actors are nice, especially Justin Theroux and Amy Brenneman. The daughter felt like a weak link and those characters always end up problematic.

With that said, I'll be def following and can't wait to discover more about the story and the show's format. I read every episode is more of a stand alone story, kinda like The Sopranos, instead of a moving story.

It was heavy. That's the best way I can describe it. The very beginning just punched at my gut (the wailing from the mother). The moment with the dog.

I think once they find momentum, it'll work really well. It'll certainly remain polarizing though.

Oh and TB was HORRENDOUS - even worse than the premiere.
