Britney Jean IS a concept album, though. First you have Alien, which when you lose something you feel alone and abandoned; so frustrated with the real world that you have to create your own galaxy and parallel universe. Work Bitch is about using work to hide your true feelings - you can't think about how sad your life is if you busy yourself with something. Followed by Perfume and its embodiment of doubt and betrayal. Whenever we find someone we love, we always find a way to doubt that it's actually true or that they really love us.
Then ISBE questioning WHY some things just seem so easy - we see characters fall in love in the media all the time & live happily ever after - but it just ISN'T easy, when it technically should be.
Then we channel our frustrations through rough sexual intercourse (Tik Tik Boom) and clubbing (Body Ache).
You finally come to terms with everything and cry it all out (Til It's Gone) and just LET IT BE and go with the flow and let someone else take charge (Passenger / Chillin' With You).
After this, you try to go on and help others with their problems instead (Don't Cry) & then maybe it'll make you feel better. AND IT DOES: You thank God for your life and gifts (Brightest Morning Star) and want to make sure that you live a long, happy life (Hold On Tight) and then after ALL this **** you finally find that special person (Now That I Found You).
