I said something remotely nice yesterday but I always said after this artrave I will be done.
I don't check for her anymore I just like posting here
You will change your mind. If Jolie's Lips did then you will too. Trust me. When you experience the music LIVE, everything is better. When you feel the beat everything changes.

Lady Gaga, ARTPOP (Streamline/Interscope) What's with the negative buzz on this record? You'd think disco had died all over again. It's true: Gaga's got some serious hubris, and that's brought out haters searching for her Achilles' heel. But this record ain't it. Hell yes, it's bombastic; that's Stefani Germanotta's thing, and this metal fan has ramped it up steeper than her stilettos. But get past its pummeling beats, Sensurround bass booms, and the other EDM equivalents of hard rock and you'll hear that the songs are nearly as strong as they've always been. There is an undeniable desperation about this record, and that's what makes it fascinating, not flawed. Identified by art critic Jerry Saltz in his super-controversial essay about Kanye West's "Bound 2" as "the New Uncanny", Gaga tries to get real here about her drug intake, rape fantasies, identification with other fashion-fixated celebrities who may or may not have an eating disorder, and other uncomfortable subject matter. But because her introspection, like West's, is so clearly exhibitionistic, this grimness gets strobe light bright. What would for most folks be a tough session with their shrink is her idea of a dance party. B.W.
