Taylor has been doing the "photo of my back to the camera as I stare out to the sea" thing for yearssss. But I do think it's relevant to album 5 considering how often She's been doing it lately, plus there's that e e cummings quotation. Not to mention She owns a beach house (beach mansion) where She seems to have spent a lot of Her free time over the past two years.

I'm really excited but can't shake off this feeling that they're rushing into a new era. I mean, the Red era has just ended. She's been touring loads, how has she found time to record an album? When did she start working on LP5? Do we know?

Not even an apocolypse would prevent Her from releasing this fall

For all intents and purposes, the Red era died in winter 2013. There was just the Grammy performance (for Her fans, more than for promo tbh) and some international shows. It only seems like She's rushing into it because we pay such close attention to Her, I doubt the average person (in the US) has heard much of Her since EHC was a single/ the US tour leg ended.

She's been writing for ages, and has been recording when able— over this past winter for sure. She even spent Valentine's Day in the studio.

I live for the way that She started the Red era off with spectacle-filled pop performances of WANEGBT and Trouble and then at the tail end of the era She was like "No, look quality!!" with Red at the CMAs and All Too Well. And now we're inevitably launching into another pop spectacle.

She was overexposed again during the Red era (or at least August 2012-March 2013). She is planning for higher and longer success for Era 5
