I think Katy comes across as more authentically juvenile and probably thinks it's all cute even taken at face value.
Like there is not a trace of irony in **** like Roar (which makes it all the sadder lol) while the spoken-word phone call in WANEGBT displays a greater degree of self-awareness than Katy has shown in her output IMO.
It also helps that Taylor's pop songs are actually good (Max > Luke).
One of the biggest insults someone's said to me.
