Kings of crossover country hits.

I think Lady Antebellum's "Bartender" will crossover. Even though "Compass" had EDM elements in the chorus, the song also contained quite a bit of country instrumentation, and I think that kept Pop, Hot AC, and AC away from the track. After hearing "Bartender" for the first time yesterday, the Pop/Rhythmic beat was there, and the country instrumentation was nowhere to be seen. Not to mention the lyrics are not that country-friendly. This is the exact opposite of the groups last two albums, which started off with a crossover friendly song, then went toward more traditional country fare. However, both "Need You Now" and "Just A Kiss" were ballads, while "Bartender" is an uptempo dance song.
Now if only Hot AC and AC would pick up the pace with Luke Bryan. "Play It Again" is one of the best songs this year in any format, and it is a shame the label is so slow in promoting the song out. Four weeks at Number One, and six weeks in Billboards Top Three on the Country Airplay Chart is exceptional these days. Bryan has back to back double-platinum albums, selling 528,000 copies in his first week, two songs already from his latest CD past two million downloads and "Play It Again" closing in fast, he is one of the top if not the top streaming act at the format (outside of maybe his friends Florida-Georgia Line). With a track record like this, and pop-friendly material like "That's My Kind Of Night" and "Play It Again", I cannot figure out why Top 40, Hot AC, and AC (and possibly Rhythmic and Alternative with the former song) cannot figure out the two above mentioned songs would bring listeners to their formats.
