Britney had a lot of older fans to begin with but most of her fans were kids. That's why she had a decline album after album but still sold extremely well.

As much as people stereotype Taylor's fans as little kids and tweens, she's been around for 8 years and those 12-16 year olds are now 20-24. The girl gets as much sales as from her child fans as she does her older fans.

Britney stood up well cause she had a mature enough fanbase to support her. Which is why Bieber and 1D are gonna have outgrown fans who start to lose interest. That's why boybands have a short shelf life.

Yeah, I agree. Taylor has fans of all ages. Her older fans have grown up with her and she's also gaining younger fans on a daily basis.
