I get what you're saying, but this idea that Beyonce has had some type of over-reaching impact on every pop artist is just false. They aren't making music like Beyonce's, they aren't performing like her, they're not behaving like her. They like her as an artist and performer, but that's it. The only recent star to live in those types of costumes was Gaga, and she was clearly copying Madonna.
Beyonce's performing and costume style is a direct tribute of DIana and Tina. Yet for some reason, despite all the supposed impact, no one else chooses to dress and perform in similar ways. No sparkles, no bright colors, no extra embellishments. Beyonce is the only one doing that.
If we're going to attribute any leotard a pop star wears to one source, it would be Madonna.
