Florida-Georgia Line and Luke Bryan are big examples of artists doing this right now. All country artists have this pop-rock influence because of Taylor.

Love Story was bigger than Before He Cheats. Things remained the same after BHC was released. Love Story was the biggest cross-over song since Breathe by Faith Hill -10 years earlier.

Adele, Katy, Taylor, Rihanna, Lorde, Ariana, and Miley never did that shctick. If you look at the biggest stars that emerged in the 00's/10s and are still around, they're nothing like Beyonce. Even the stars that are middling in popularity nowadays- Kelly Clarkson, Xtina, Avril, etc.- didn't do that.

People who DID perform in leotards and heels- J. Lo and Gagz. Both are flopping right now hehe

Taylor will definitely have more of a legacy than Miley or Katy Perry. I think people will feel positively about Taylor many years down the line, probably because she is so inoffensive and writes her own music without 20 other different writers clogging up the credits list.
