She rarely actually sings in the whistle register, she mostly sings in falsetto, just like all of the other "next Mariah Carey's"...
I mean, she has a good voice, but she's not good enough to be compared to the Songbird Supreme.
Also, I remember I was making a video with Mariah's best performances from each year of the 2000's (2000-2014), but I got lazy and didn't really have that much time, so I abandoned it. I'm really feeling the need to continue it, though...
She is a terrific singer and performer and some of her songs are great. Commercial success doesn't really say anything about any of those things so it doesn't matter if she's a flop or whatever. Thought y'all had the same mentality since God hasn't had a hit since Hashtag and hasn't had a hit album and real hit since like 2008. 
I still have a lot of catching up to do.
