I think that the Iggy upset over Nicki is more likely than people are thinking. I can see BET giving it to her simply because another female rapper finally stepped up and is getting a lot of attention.

XXL and the BET Awards are run by different people. I just brought it up as an example. Far more people are recognized each year by XXL and many of them are "unknowns" at the time of their crowing.

The BET Awards recognizes one male and one female each year.

And it will start controversy. Maybe not as much as Macklemore/Kendrick, but the female rap fan community will be heated for the rest of the year by it. So, if that is what BET wants, they'll do it.

But, they've always been loyal to Nicki so.

I don't know. The main thing sticking out in my mind is that Eminem has had major eras since the BET Awards has started with some of them being the biggest rap eras ever (esp. compared to those who were nominated in the categories) and all he got was a single nomination. One damn nomination. So, I'm just think like... Iggy has a #1 single and a couple records she has broken but nothing really else. I just can't see her winning.

Same! I love Iggy and I know I look like I'm coming off as a hater, but I just have a hard time understanding why she would win. She definitely is going to slay at the VMAs though and then get that Grammy nomination (win?) as well.

THOUGH, I know BET will deliver with a "Iggy Azalea has blah, blah, blah, blah" interlude as she walks up on to the stage if she wins. They gone pull out the receipts if they chose her.
